    Recently the game got a update, may it be causing the issue; i think its all good now.

    Error 0x82D40004

    Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
    the console.

    Power cycling is a great troubleshooting step for a variety of issues, but if you have not already, I would consult our support page for games not loading entitled “My
    Xbox One game won’t start or freezes during gameplay    ” to help resolve this issue.

    Give the steps outlined in that guide a try and let us know how they help in resolution of the issue.

    Error 0x82D40004

    Hello Tazz,

    Sorry for the issue with discs not being read. It could be possible that the disc drive is malfunctioning. If you have done all that the others posted and still having an issue. You can always check your warranty status at

    device support    . Also after you register the console you can set up a repair on the same website. If the console is not in warranty it usually costs between 120-160 USD for a repair.

    Hey, i have the same issue. what works for me is loading the youtube app. seriously, sounds strange but it works Error 0x82D40004 :) only other option is to unplug it from the wall and plug it back in.

    Xbox One not loading Gears of War 4

    The error just means that it can't find the licence for the game. So in this case the disk drive did not read the disc, so couldn't find the licence. Try reinserting the disc, then wait about 30 seconds, and try starting the game again.
