Could you route your 4G or 5G connection from your smartphone, and plug it into your smartphone, does it work?

If you get the same error, try changing the DNS:

Press the Xbox button to open the panel;

Click Profile & System > Settings > General > Network Settings;

Under Advanced Settings, select DNS Settings;

Select Manual, which will take you to the primary DNS server;

For Primary DNS, type 1.1.1.1 and choose Enter;

Select Secondary DNS Server. Type 1.0.0.1 select Enter;

Press the B button on the controller to save;

Test your connection again (Profile & System > Settings > General > Network Settings > Test Network Connection).

If that doesn't work, try the DNS addresses:

8.8.8.8 - 8.8.4.4.

208.67.222.222 - 208.67.220.220

Thank you for replying, Im in the UK and I believe this is where the accounts region is set to. As soon as I have time to sit in front of Xbox I will try everything you've listed.

In which country/region do you live?

Is your country/region listed in the link? https://www.xbox.com/en-US/regions

If so, I recommend you sign into https://xbox.com and then go to your profile, select onto Xbox Settings, and then select Change account region.

If it still doesn't work, try the following steps:

Step 1: Hard Reset

1. Turn off the console by pressing and holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds. The console will shut down.

2. Turn the console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on the controller.

Step 2: Remove and then re-add your account to the console

-Remove your account

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > Account.

Select Remove accounts.

Select your account, and then confirm removal.

- Restart your console

Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your controller to open the Power Center.

Select Restart console.

Select Restart.

-Re-add your account to the console

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Add new.

Enter your Microsoft account email address and password.

Complete the personalization settings on the next several screens.

Step 4: Xbox One reset keeping Games:

Press the Xbox button to open the panel.

Select system > Settings > System > Console Information

Select Reset console.

Restore and maintain my games and apps.

Rest assured, you won't miss games or saves

Note: Don't worry, as long as you're connected to Xbox Live, your progress and game saves won't be deleted. It will remove all your accounts, but you can add them all later. You need to know the email and passwords of your accounts when performing this reset.

Yes I can hot spot my phone and sign in via that, it does seem specific to my isp, I've talked to them and they said they are 'investigating' the issue.

Yes, I've tried to set the DNS manually. It tells me I'm connected to the internet and all is good.

When I try and sign into live I receive the error message.
