Error 0x80a4000b

Just setup my new Xbox One and when I try to add an account I get the 0x80a4000b error.

What Country/State/Province do you live in? USA/NE

Modem brand & model number: Motorola SB6121

Router brand & model number: Netgear WNDR3700

How many 360 and One consoles are connected to this router?: One

Wired or wireless (for each console): Wired

Things you have tried: The network and multiplayer test gives me an All Good status. I have tried doing the Power Cycle solution several times with no change in the results. Cycled power on Xbox/Router/Modem. It's definitely not a problem within
my network.

Is UPnP Enabled? Yes

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type? No NAT error

Any Error Codes you encounter: Just the 0x80a4000b

Who is your ISP?(Internet Service Provider): Cox

cant sign in to xbox one account

There are two main causes for that error code, and the first is related to your security/billing information. Let's check on that first and make sure everything there is correct. If the billing information is incorrect and can't be verified or a payment
can't go through, it can cause you to experience this error.

Solution 1: Verify your Microsoft account security information

1. Sign in to your Microsoft account.
   
2. Click Edit security info.
3. Verify your security information. For example, make sure that your Phone number, Alternate email address, and Security question information are correct.
   
4. Go to Billing and select Billing information.
5. Verify the billing information for your Microsoft account. For example, verify that the billing address for your Microsoft account matches the billing address used by your credit card company. Also make sure that your Microsoft account payment details,
   including capitalization, match the information that is used by your credit card company.
   
6. Sign out of your Microsoft account.
7. Sign in to Xbox Live on your Xbox One console.

That all seems to be unrelated to my Xbox throwing an error as soon as I click Add Account, but I went ahead and verified all my Security information was up to date anyways.

Still receiving error 0x80a4000b when I click Add Account.

 

Did this error just start around the time of this post? Are you able to do other things on the console that don't require a connection to Live?

If so, it might be related to the ongoing downtime with the Xbox Live service. It's preventing many people from signing into Live or downloading/adding accounts, etc.

My suggestion is to wait until these issues have been resolved and try again. I'd hate to walk you through some long troubleshooting steps if the problem was indeed due to something on the Live service side. You can stay updated on the status of the problem
on the Xbox Live Service Status page. If you're located in the US, you can also choose to receive a phone call or text message when the service is restored.

Hopefully if this is a new error, it will resolve itself when the service is restored. If you continue to have any problems after the service is back to normal, be sure to reply so we can continue with the next solution to this error code!

 

So supposedly the issues have been resolved and at this time I am still unable to add an account to my system which apparently prevents you from playing any games at all.

Still seeing the exact same error.

I'm also getting this error code, i haven't been able to play for 2 days now! Please someone help me fix this.

 

I am also having the same problem and I just bought the xbox and everything else is fine. The only thing the status website is saying is a compatability dc for cod. I just want to play my new system and I have dying light sitting here and I can't play anything
because I get this error when I try to Add my live account
