@N0sferatu66 Thats what Arvin Z from MS Chat said to me. I'm only relaying what they have messaged me directly. I guess the way we will know for sure is whether it comes out. I mean here in Australia is 12.30AM and its getting ridiculous that we haven't
been patched. But hey. I guess we have to wait it out.

Some posts had been locked and marek as solved, as been asked to return the console...if that is the solution, can I deem there's no patch coming at all while some customer support said yes? Wth

Just got of the phone with a support tech . I am currently installing the update on console number 4 im hoping this one will work. He told me that if you cannot exchange the console to use this:

And apparently that will also fix the bugged os from the previous update. I do not know for sure if this just another bs statement or not.When i asked him why they didnt just post that in the forums for people as a solution he said oh ya good point we will
look into it . They also offered me 3 months gold for compensation. Nowhere near enough for the headache if you ask me but anyways. If this time around it does not work for me i will try that option you need a 2gb flash drive for this to work. If not then
it will be money back. Im hoping this last console exchange and update right now will be the working update. Ill keep everyone posted.

 

Ok went through 3 consoles the 4th one works went through 2 updates and im up and running. Hopefully the diagnostic tool works for others. if not a system exchange seems to be the only way.

 

just to say, there's no way to update it once it's bricked so only option is exchange it or repair. yep...sucks that bad. pretty bad from microsoft. i just bought mine new when it happened, and managed to exchange it without problems and now working fine.

 

since there's "rumor" about a patch coming very soon... and MS support team must had read this,

so...to make things easy for us...

if there's no such patch, they should let us know, CONFIRM IT...people are waiting (though that will be ridiculers...)

if there is, WHEN? we can wait as that's what we do now...

I don't know if anyone else knows this but if you put an Xbox 360 game into the Xbox one you will get the same error, so my wishful thinking is when they fix this error, 360 games will be compatible.

do you know if this patch will fix the bluray movies problem? cause my X1 doesnt read them. I have no issues with games and Dvds, just bluray movies :/
