Error 0x80820002, I want an official statement on when to this will be solved with effective ...

Instead of asking me to send it back to retailer, I demand a software update and official statement from Microsoft. It's been 3 4 days since the issue busted out, we are still guessin. And I am living in a country that will be really troublesome to have
me send the console back for exchange, so that is unacceptable! I know some people solved the problem after replacing their console for 3 4 times and that "could" work. But it doesn't solve my problem.

So instead of guessing around if theres gonna be a patch and all the mess... Let me ask: Will you say something, Microsoft?

AND DONT ASK ME TO RETURN THE STUPID CONSOLE. THAT SAVES YOUR TROUBLE, BUT NOT MINE!!

Issues Reading discs error code (0x21): Your disc might be dirty or damaged.

I have the same problem (code: 0x80820002 error). And i tried all things described in this forum. But just temporary solutions. Doesn't exist a permanent solution yet? This problem is about 2 or 3 months and the Microsoft not solved yet?!!?!

I'm so disappointed with all of this. I just feel like returning the console and getting my money back. I might just do that today.

 

I'd like some kind of ETA too...

Microsoft just lets us guess what will happen.

They only tell us to return the console for repair so we are getting the idea that there is going to happen something.

Let us know something already!

 

Hey everyone, no need to return consoles or anything, when you set them up and update it will do the same thing. The chat people have said don't return the consoles as it wont work, we just have to wait for a patch that should be in within 24hrs - thats
the best ETA i have.

Thats what MS Chat told me, @N0sferatu66 . But reading now, they are saying that the consoles that have been affected need to be replaced. This is ridiculous.

 

yea...we've been talking about the "within the next 24 hours" from yesterday... now what, that is the most annoying part of this ... 24 or 72 hours... why don't they make any statement yet? is it because there's no solution yet? could it take bigger effort
to repair this than they thought? Is it too hard to fix? I have to make these guesses man...

 

Just got this from MS support:

"There will be a patch tonight that will be released Molly! We understand where you're coming from and we want you to know that this issue has been already resolved and we are now gradually releasing the patch for this."

 

Ffs... the last thing i want is to wait for a ******* month again...

I have switched to xbox from ps4 and was so excited to try it out.

ffs microsoft, is this your standard when it comes to service and bring out info to your customers?

 

got a question now, if my machine needs to be mailed for replacement from across the pacific, will Microsoft pay the *** shipping fee? IF NOT, why am I to bare this *** caused by them? am i not supposed to use my xb oversea?

 

They should do, you should be able to request for a return box.

@chin5an - that would mean admitting that they made a mistake, we can't have that. Although MS Support just said this to me:

"There will be a patch tonight that will be released Molly! We understand where you're coming from and we want you to know that this issue has been already resolved and we are now gradually releasing the patch for this. It will be for tonight! And that will
be gradually and will be done batch per batch! So no need to worry anymore Molly! We have everything here going smooth for you!"

Ok MS support, Ok. I also requested compensation for the time they've stuffed me around.
