error 0x8082000 this game isn't playable here

I just noticed that call of duty ghosts is backwards compatible, and I felt like playing extinction, but when I put the disc in, it says this game isn't playable here. I've updated my xbox, power cycled the xbox, also factory reset the xbox, and there
arent any other 360 games installed, nothing is fixing this error. Anyone know how to fix the error without buying a digital copy so that I can still play it on xbox one?

ALL X360 Backwards compatible games NO LONGER WORK?!

The Error code we are all getting is.

"That game isn't playable here. For a list of Xbox 360 games playable on Xbox One, go to xbox.com/BackCompat. (0x8082000c)"

 

Cod Ghosts

On the backwards compatible list but on my Xbox one I'm getting that cod ghosts isn't playable here, a link to the available games and error code (0x8082000c)?????

Thanks for reaching out to us! If you've got the disc for the 360 version of Call of Duty: Ghosts, then take a look at what version or edition of the game you have (deluxe, etc). If it is anything other than the base game, then that is likely why you're
getting an error telling you that it isn't playable. It is only the base game for COD: Ghosts that is backwards compatible. You may need to purchase the Xbox One version if you have anything other than the base game.

In regards to receiving this error code, as Amber stated, the base game disc would need to be the one inserted into the console for use.

As I recall, Extinction is a game mode available within the game and if available through a separate disc would then be the reason for receiving this error.

Remember, to play Call of Duty: Ghosts on your Xbox One console, the disc being inserted needs to read exactly that title to function with the listed
backwards compatible.

If the disc itself is experiencing this error, then our suggestion is to attempt clearing the persistent storage
within the Disc and Blu-Ray Settings. After clearing attempt a variant of
Restarting the Console.

If still not functioning, attempt a soft factory reset by selecting keep my games and apps.

Note: This step will remove profiles, so be sure to keep all information for signing into any/all accounts.

Try these and let us know if any provided steps works.

Thank you. I forgot that it came as 2 discs. An installation disc and the game disc. Somehow they got separated, and only the installation disc was in the case. I eventually found the game disc and it's installing. I really appreciate all of the help
from you and Amber
