Error 0x8027025a

Apparently my xbox wont run any games from either disc or download. After a lengthy chat online with support and a few failed troubleshooting methods later its apparent that I need to send my xbox for repair. According to the support guy my hard drive and
memory has failed. Anyone else had this issue? I opted for the Advanced exchange so im now on the fourth day of waiting for the replacement console. Apparently I should have an email when it is shipped out but ive not heard anything.

Ok so my console arrived this morning. The console looks ok and seems to be working fine so far. Unfortunatley I haven't been able to try any games yet to make sure it works because of the painfully slow install/update times. (5 hours in and halo mcc is
at 22%)

For the record I have sent my damaged console back today. Miss Quinzel please take note because im fully expecting MS to tell me they haven't received it!!!

 

More than 24 hours now since I got the new console. Halo is now at 94%. I really really don't understand how a machine touted as next gen that cost me over £500 on day one can take more than an entire day to install a game. Heres a question: Why does the
XBOX say my internet connection is 0.78mbs when every other device in my household is at least 5.12mbs? How can I make it quicker?

As for the slower downloads on your console, there are a couple of things you can try. One is we can look at your set up for your Xbox One. If you are installing discs instead of downloading the digital game, disconnect from your internet connection while
installing the game. This will prevent the Xbox from downloading the online updates at the same time you are installing the disc. If you're wireless, we can try going wired while downloading items. If you're wired already, you can check out our

Troubleshoot slow game or app downloads on Xbox One support page. It gives a table of how long downloads will take for different game sizes, and some tips on how to increase your internet speeds and improve your connection.

Give those suggestions a try and let me know how it helps you out! Slow downloads can be the bane of my existence, so I want to make sure you don't have the frustrations that I run into.

 

Misses Quinzel thank you for your reply. I am using a wireless connection. The router is literally right next to the console. I have paused the download for now as I have decided to try updating warframe. That in itself is taking soooo long its unbelievable.
Im getting a speed of 367KB/s with that. Ive also done a network test on the XBOX console. Its showing a download speed of 0.60MB/s. Pretty poor im sure you'll agree. As for the disc install I have indeed disconnected from the wireless to do it previously
but it offers little advantage.

To give you the full picture, I have disconnected all other internet devices in my home including laptop, desktop mobile phone etc whilst I download/update. If I access the internet on PC or laptop as I am now doing, the XBOX downloads at approx. 1% per
half an hour!!

 

quick update, the destiny trial took 15 hours. honestly this is crap. please help me improve speeds!! And Misses Quinzel, Ive just looked in the UPS website to track my returned console and they have apparently incorrectly sorted my package causing a delay.
Im screenshotting everything so I have as much proof as I can when/if MS try and charge me. Please also make a note for me!

 

Right download speeds have not improved at all so I was looking for an Ethernet cable to buy. But not being particualy tech savvy I was easily confused with CAT 5, CAT 6, CAT7 etc... Which one do I need? Can anyone help?

 

Hey there, matt! Thanks so much for the updates, and I apologize for the delay in response! You are okay to get a CAT5 cable. Those are the basic ones, and you shouldn't have any issue with it. I highly suggest going wired if you are able, as that will ensure
the best connection for your console.

If you are right next to your router, please make sure that you are at least 5 feet away from it. Routers have a ring around them where they give out signal, but when you are right next to the router, it is essentially a dead zone. Going wired while right
next to your router will help alleviate this sort of issue.

Please do post back once you get that wire! Let me know if it helps you out. If it doesn't, please back what your router is that you're connecting to so I can double check if we have any known issues with that device.

 

Hi quick update again mostly so that I have a record of this entire process. According to UPS my broken console was delivered by UPS on the 23rd of Dec. I was told I would be informed by e-mail when the console had been received but no such notification.
So as with every other stage of this process, I have taken a screen shot as proof.

I haven't yet managed to obtain a cable so I cannot tell you whether this has solved the poor download speeds Misses Quinzel. When I do Ill let you know.

 

Thanks so much, matt! I do appreciate the update. While you haven't received an email, the repair order may be closed. If it is, that means the hold should be released on your account. If you still have the repair order number (or SR number), you should
be able to verify the status of it at our Online Service Center.

According to the service centre the order is still being processed.
