Error 0x80072efd 0x00000000 0x00000206, Xbox One Won't Update.

The Xbox One says that it is time to update, but it gives me a message saying "There was a problem with the update" with the error code 0x80072efd 0x00000000 0x00000206, before the update can start itself. The update is 384 MB. I have an Ethernet cable giving
my Xbox internet. I tried cycling my Xbox one, and that didnt work. I even had my Xbox unplugged for 24 hours. Everything on my Xbox Live Service Status is normal. My Xbox is in the preview program on the alpha stage. I cant find the error code anywhere.

Hi . can someone please help me i am trying to update my xbox and it keeps telling me "There is a problem with the update"

Error code 0x80072EFD 0x00000000 0X00000206

 

Same here have been trying for a few hours and no luck

 

Same here can even play my xbox one now because of the error message

 

I got the same error code. Went to Twitter and asked for help from Xbox support...they linked me here. Thanks guys. I assume it's a "known" issue by now, but damn.

 

wont let me access it without the update the need way to reset to factory

 

I'm having the same problem, apparently the only option I've seen so far is to get a flash drive and update it offline

 

don't waste your time, the update offline option didn't work for me...

 

I reset to factory...still has me trying to dl update...unplug console until the light goes out. Replug, then hold the sync and disc button as you turn on your one. It'll take you to a menu that has restore to factory option. As well as dl update offline.
Tried that too.

 

Same here, I followed the support steps that eventually led me to do a factory reset which was a mistake, now I can't even start my xbox offline. I tried with wired and wireless connection and with a flashdrive with no luck. Some people seem to have success
with updating by tethering a mobile hotspot, but unfortunately my cell phone provider has tethering locked.

 

Got the same problem here! Called 18004myxbox and sat on hold for twenty minutes only to be told to come here as soon as I said i **** a preview member. "Tom" seemed to know about the problem as he said they were receiving a large volume of calls about
the problem. He said it could be three or four days until it was fixed! I have alsp been dealing with my xbox not recognizing my controllers since the April update every other time I turn it off.

 

wishing I would have read your post before resetting, contacted xbox support and was told my console is out of warranty and that I will have to get a third party to fix the console because it must be a hardware issue. I am baffled and angry, the console
has never had any issues until now a ran like a dream. I get the update and it's a glorified paper weight that I have to fix. Absolutely ridiculous, the agent gave me a generic reason for updates and how they maintain the console. I cannot wrap my head around
that, can someone please explain how it is possible for this to be a hardware issue maybe I'm missing something.

 

so now I'm guessing everyone that's posted to this has a hardware issue, smh. what are the odds in that?

 

i finally got mine to update had to use my iphone as a hotspot wifi yall might try that some reason wind stream wouldnt let it update
