Error 0x80070520 when launching Microsoft flight simulator on PC

The only other change I made when it fixed itself was to remove the 2FA from my Microsoft account.
I then tried again but got the error. That is when I decided to install in the C:\XBoxGames and it started working.

Thanks for the reply Grant but I am afraid that didn't do it the first time I tried it and it didn't help when I tried it again just yesterday
MFS support told me it's not an issue on their part and it's usually resolved by "Trying again another time".
To date the problem still remains unresolved :\

I have had this problem for weeks since updating my computer to Windows 11. Tried everything including a support ticket to flightsimulator.zenbook.
Even reinstalling MSFS 2020 didn't work.
I was trying to install the entire game on a separate hard drive F:\Games.

What finally worked was to install it in the default location, C:\XBoxGames. That got me past the error of not being able to sign into XBox Live.
Then when it starts downloading the data, pause and change the data path to the non-system drive ie: F:\Games\MSFS2020\packages\localcache.

I actually exited as soon as it got to the data download. Moved all my Community and Official data from the old install (which I had backed up) to the new directory and restarted the game.
It found all my previous data and only downloaded updates.

All my settings, controller setup and flight log were there as well. It probably got those from XBox.live

I understand and appreciate you're trying to help but I've already been through the steps mentioned in the links you posted in case I wasn't clear about that in my initial posting.

and the steps mentioned in your second suggestion (https://flightsimulator.zendesk.com...ting-How-to-troubleshoot-crashing-CTDs-issue) don't apply to my case as my game isn't crashing it's just softlocked in a loop on the press any key to start menu and when I do the xbox window pops up withe aforementioned error 0x80070520 and telling me to try again later, but I still checked it all out anyways and still the issue persists.

Any more suggestions? appreciate the assist.

PS:here are my specs just in case

Motherboard: gaming pro carbon z390 wireless
CPU : I9 9900k
RAM: 64 gbs of DDR4 ram (2x32 sticks running at 3200mhz default xmp profile)
GPU: Galax 4090
PSU: 1050w cooler master

Device temps are well controlled and I suffer zero stability issues with any other games running VR or otherwise (Ram,CPU&GPU compatibility and stability testing checked recently using Memtest86, Furmark & prime 95.
