ERROR 0x8007003B whenever signing into any account + cant use previous pin

May I ask if you have already tried changing your account's sign-in and security preferences? like this:

- On the console, sign in to your account.
- While on your account, go to Settings > Account > Sign-in, Security & PIN.
- Select "Change my sign-in & security preferences

* Selecting "Ask for my PIN" should make it so your PIN is asked for whenever your account tries to sign in.

* Selecting "Lock it down" should make it so your password is asked for whenever your account tries to sign in.

I;m not convinced this is an error to do with Xbox live. It comes up whenever they select their account and put in their six digit pin code.

I believe in this case it would be better to not use the PIN to sign in since it is getting errors while authenticating.

- Go to Start > Settings > Accounts > Input options.

- Scroll down to the option "Require Windows Hello Sign In for Microsoft Accounts" and set it to disabled.

- On the Windows Hello PIN (above), click on remove. This will remove any PIN saved on Windows Hello for the account.

- If it asks for a password, confirm your Microsoft account password.

- Restart your computer.

See if you can sign in without a PIN and let me know how it goes.

I think I just found the answer to this. You cant stop the "Skip Sign in" bit, but you can require all apps that launch in that mode to ask for a pin which essentially locks it down to being useless.

Sign in as an Adult account and go to Settings > Access Restrictions > and set an access pin.

Then set Access to content as Restricted. Its at the bottom of the list of ages that say "Appropriate up to age 18, 17, 16 etc...

Then also untick Allow adding and creating new profiles.

Now when you sign out or skip the log in you will require the access pin you just set. So if your kids have accounts they will need to be signed in, in order to not have to use the access pin you just set.

I just tested this and it works for my kids accounts.

It appears that you are trying to sign in another Microsoft account to sign into Minecraft: Java Edition and is unable to because it is asking for a pin. Let us check and see on what we can do to help address your concern.

We would like to ask few questions to help us isolate the issue further.

1. Is the 'another Microsoft account' you are trying to sign in was your other account or an account by another user of the computer?

2. Are you sign in as local account or administrator account?

3. Has there been any changes with the device before this issue happen?

4. Are you able to access the device after starting it up like access any files on it using your account when signed in?

It is possible that the account you are trying to sign in had used PIN in signing in the specific account. If that account is owned by somebody, then you need to reach out for the PIN. If you have you are the owner of the account and not sure or forgot Windows Hello Pin, you can reset it through following the steps provided in the link below:
