Error: 0x8007003B when trying to sign into the Minecraft launcher via Xbox app sign in.

So, recently my brother forced me to clear my cache and my temp folder, and ever since he did that, I've experienced issue after issue when trying to sign into Minecraft.

When I click the "Sign in with Microsoft" button in the Minecraft launcher, it opens up the Xbox app (which is normal), it gives me a windows hello pop up, I click on next, I put my password, but then it gives me a "Something went wrong. Please try again later. 0x8007003B"

Under that it gives me a sequence of numbers and letters but I fear that may compromise my privacy or something, so I won't share it.

Sometimes after a couple of tries, it gives me a popup saying "Error Code: 0x80004005 code: Eroded Badlands. A file that the Windows Product Activation (WPA) requires is damaged or missing. Please reboot, verify system permissions, and make sure your operating system is up-to-date."

Issue is, I've restarted my PC several times, there shouldn't be any permission issues, and I'm on the latest official build of Windows 11.

My specs are:

CPU: i5-10400F

Memory: 16 GB

Storage: 1TB SSD
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4060.

What I've tried:

I already tried reinstalling the Minecraft launcher (deleting it then reinstalling it through the executable from the Minecraft.net site)

I've tried repairing both the Xbox app and Minecraft launcher via app settings.

And I've restarted my PC several times.

I understand that you are experiencing issues signing into your Minecraft account via launcher.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Make sure that the password of your Minecraft account is correct to be able to sign in successfully. Or you can also reset the password of the account before signing in.

Please update the launcher. Make sure that your Minecraft launcher is updated to the latest version. Open the Xbox app, locate the Minecraft launcher, and check for updates.

And then clear account cache. To do this, open the Minecraft launcher, log out of all accounts, and clear the account cache because this can help reset the sign-in process.

Next is to reset the Microsoft Store by pressing Windows + R to open the Run dialog box.

Type wsreset.exe and press Enter. This will reset the Microsoft Store cache.

Then repair or reset the Launcher. Go to "Settings" > "Apps" > "Apps & Features."

Locate the Minecraft launcher, select "Advanced Options," and choose "Repair".

After that is to sign in via Xbox App. Kindly sign into your Microsoft account through the Xbox app first, then launch Minecraft

If you're playing Minecraft via Minecraft Launcher kindly sign out on Minecraft Launcher then restart before signing back in.

In regards to your Xbox App please do the same by signing out and then restarting before signing back in.

Were you able to sign in to MS store app?

Just to also confirm, are you getting that error code on Xbox app or Minecraft launcher?
