error 0x8007001f in xbox PC app again

Once again this error has cropped up preventing my xbox app from downloading or updating anything at all and I've once again wasted hours trawling through threads going back over three years because this error still hasn't been properly fixed to stop it reappearing.

I've tried repairing and resetting both the xbox and windows store app, I've reinstalled the xbox app and gaming services, I've tried solutions in both powershell and sfc scans in CMD.

So what are the latest suggestions to fix this endlessly reoccurring problem until it inevitably happens again?

It seems that way honestly when I had this issue it was with ALL my games.

So your only solution for being unable to install or update games through one program is the nuclear option? Which would maybe solve the problem until it happens again? Keep in mind that I have just watched a series of other updates download and install perfectly through the Windows Store.

Hi there IG4T2 welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Well, I suggest you try this:

Open the Settings app it is the gear in the start menu.

Open Accounts

Click Sign-in Options

Scroll down to Privacy

Uncheck "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device and reopen my apps after an update and restart."

Restart your PC!

I had this 0x800 issue around a year ago. I could tell you all the 10 steps I followed to solve it, unfortunately what helped me to solved this was to restart my PC as it comes here:

In the part of Windows 10 click on "Reset this PC" these instructions will help you to solve the problem, you can even leave your important files!

I have the same problem here. Every Xbox Game Pass for PC game with "Administrator approval required for installation" in the description fails to install with error code 0x8007001F The game download starts fine, but as soon it gets to the part where the
installation should start - boom! - error 0x8007001F

The Windows 10 on my computer is up to date. All the device drivers are fine and up to date. The restarting of the computer, change of region settings, reinstalling Xbox Beta app, using Windows Store app instead, reinstalling of Windows 10 on different hard
drive (and some other of the commonly available "fixes") - nothing helps. The problem persists. The problematic computer is Apple iMac 27-inch model March 2019 with Windows 10 installed on a separate hard drive. On my Lenovo laptop the same Xbox Game Pass
PC account works without any problems.
