    Attempting to download a game on my HDD through the new app and It is giving me the error in the title. The text with this says my HDD has become disconnected, which clearly it hasn't because Im actively using programs on it. Any way to fix this error?

    Firstly please create a new thread so we can better help.

    Secondly try plugging the HDD into a different USB port, and also try installing directly from your Xbox instead of via the app.

    Just an update. This is only happening with Gears of War 4. Other games download fine. HDD has over 500gb free.

    This happens with EVERY single install, but my storage is not being disconnected. I have to reboot and it will resume for a little then error out again.
    I've had a similar situation to that i fixed it by, resetting my console ( hold down the console power button for 10 secs). It happened it again so i just uninstalled the game and reinstalled and that completely fixed it. So i would suggest trying to uninstall
    and reinstall. If that doesn't work you should go to support.xbox.com and see if you can get a better answer on how to fix it. The way i fixed mine might not work for you. So if it doesn't work go there or maybe someone else can give you more info.
