    Error 0x80070005 when accessing store


    Hi. My girlfriend and I have recently started encountering the error 0x80070005 when trying to open the store, or Gold preview etc. on her XBox One.

    We have tried resetting, removing and re-adding her account as suggested by the help guide, all to no success. We are able to play games online, and the internet connection is fine.

    This is very frustrating, please can someone assist with any suggestions for a potential fix.

    Im having the same problem.... its only with Halo 5 Guardians. When I go to the store & try to download it directly I get error - 0x80070005

    I get an error when i install a MSIXBundle File,

    No? I didn't install it from the Microsoft Store, it was an old version,

    from a GitHub repo.

    But, it didn't work, the error is still

    Error code 0x80070005 is an access denied error. Did you take this other drive from a different PC or previous Windows install?

    Error 0x80070005 is an 'access denied' error code. It means that games and apps can't be installed due to file access restrictions.

    Did you use D:\ drive on a previous PC or previous install of Windows 10?

    Games and Apps on Windows 10 Store install to a folder called 'WindowsApps', if this folder already exists on your drive, you won't be able to install games.
