lol us gamers are funny. the servers were down for an hour and we flip a friggin nut. but still...the always online thing to even play a game is really retarded.

 

Bit of an over reaction from some very silly immature people in this thread.

It wasn't rendered a useless expensive brick, it could do everything except for play games (due to signing in); so please, spare us the tantrum and throwing of your toys out of your pram.

It was 2 hours. That is NOT a long time. Is anyone thankful that the Xbox team fixed & repaired the issue? Are you still trading in your X1's?

The PS4 is a door wedge, it only plays games and badly at that. Same issues and also Sony are updating their policies so you have the DRM that Microsoft proposed once upon a time, forced upon you on PSN. However apparently that's ok because it's Sony.

Anyway, maintenance or server issues have happened before, that was quick. Some of you call yourselves gamers? Pfff, it happens, get over it. PSN went down for 3 months once. When their servers go down, they go down hard.

X1 is a multimedia "entertainment system".

Teething happens, get over it. 360 had unforeseen issues, PS3 had unforeseen issues, now next gen is having unforeseen issues. You get booted to dash because the game crashed. It's the game, not the console. At least the console doesn't lock up now like
every console ever created, the Xbox team were clever enough to figure out a system so that if the game crashes it doesn't crash the system too, instead the system continues to work so you can quickly get back to what you were doing.

So many naive fools want to blame Xbox & MS for something that isn't their fault. Too much moaning and whining. Grow up and remember what gaming was like 14 years ago! No, make that 19 years ago, bet half of you weren't even born then!

 

Working as of right now in Canada (Quebec). I would suggest all of you that kept their Xbox One turned on to turn them off if it's still not working so they can reset.

Also even though Xbox Live is down you can still play by simply removing the ethernet cable and/or disabling Wi-Fi so the console understand you are not trying to log with your gamertag online but rather locally on the console.

 

Up and running in the uk. I was pissef off about it. But never threatened to return my box.

 

I had the same problem today. It worked perfectly fine last night. The way I was able to fix this issue was to Restore my Gateway/Router to factory settings. only problem with this is that it will only work for for a couple of hours then it will start giving
me problems again due to not having Virtual Ports and having IPv6 disabled

 

Khz RazgriZ - Thanks brov, exactly the point I was making. Some people act like the world has ended it was down for the shortest amount of time. Hey kids, try doing 8 weeks of work, for a final outcome, then having to change the outcome, rendering 8 weeks
useless, or doing months of work, for no reason. Now that's something to complain about, not this.

Was working yesterday day when I was downloading dead rising 3 update then I got off got back on today doesn't let me sin in to my account lucky still have my 360 and that works still

 

Try this peeps its just worked for me

1, go online to your Microsoft account and check your settings are correct

2, turn the power of to your Xbox ie pull the plug out wait 5 minutes then turn it back on

3, go to the power off button on your Xbox place your finger on the Xbox symbol and hold for 10 seconds then let go

4, power up your Xbox using the button on your Xbox

5, go to create a new account,

6, enter your email address, the on you use for your account (don't enter a new address)

7, enter your pass word

You should then see the welcome singe with a large pick of a controller.

And then you are good to go.

 

I feel like some of the complainers don't even have an xbox one. Its sad the amount of trouble people go to in order to make a product look bad.

 

unplug network wire or wireless and log in wait for black boxes on dash then plug wire back in connect network or join wireless again

some even have to be playing game offline then connect also I seen some people deleting all devices in xbox account but I never had too

 

How's about you try this, DON'T DO A DAMN THING AND WAIT UNTIL IT WORKS.. There is nothing wrong with your XB1, just likely a small issue on the server side of things that seems to be already resolved.. Toys back in pram, have a good night.

PS, I know I said I changed my password and it worked but obviously just a coincidence, but, you might be scared about the Syrians getting a hold of your account so maybe you should change it anyway
