Error 0x8000001F

Hello,

I am getting this error when the xbox app on my pc try's to connect to my xbox.

this was successfully working before the only thing that has changed was I shutdown my xbox.

I can detect my xbox in the search it just cant connect.

I have also installed the xbox one smart glass app on my android phone and get the same result.

I can confirm that I am signed into the xbox as the same account on my pc/phone.

in settings allow smart glass from signed in profiles is selected

I have unplugged both the router and the xbox for 5 mins(because why not)

if you have anything else I can try please let me know

Xbox One can't connect with SmartGlass on Surface Pro

I keep getting the following error when attempting to connect to my Xbox One with SmartGlass on my Surface Pro:

We can't connect to your console right now. Error 0x8000001F

What's strange is my Nokia Lumia 920 is connecting with no problems. Anyone else having this problem, or any possible solutions?

SmartGlass wont connect

Hi,

I'm having trouble connecting to my Xbox one using the Xbox one SmartGlass app on my surface running windows 8.1 professional.

I doubt it's anything to do with my network as it connects and works fine using the Xbox one SmartGlass app on my windows phone.

It finds my Xbox on the network but just wont connect to it and gives this error code: 0x8000001F

Am I missing something?

I contact microsoft support and fixed it via this

Please go to Settings >> Network >> Advanced Settings >> Alternate MAC >> Clear Alternate MAC >> Restart

We are working on a better solution in the future, but for now, you will need to choose/switch between using the WP SDK Emulator or the Xbox One SmartGlass app on your Win8 machine.

In order to fix the issue you will need to remove the virtual network switches that have been installed by the Windows Phone 8.0 SDK Emulators. In order to do this, open the Hyper-V Manager:

Next, on the right side of the window, click on ‘Virtual Switch Manager…’ and a new dialog will open displaying the virtual switches that will need to be removed:

Individually select each item in the list of Virtual Switches and then click the ‘Remove’ button for each virtual switch. Click ‘OK’ to close the Virtual Switch Manager. After removing the virtual switches your ‘Network Connections’ window should just have
your wifi adapter and no "bridged" networks listed.

You may need to disconnect from your current Wi-Fi network and re-connect for the new settings to take effect. After having done this you can now return to the SmartGlass application and connect to your Xbox One console.

Re-Enabling Windows Phone 8.0 SDK Emulators

Removing the virtual switches to fix the SmartGlass connection to your Xbox One console will cause the Windows Phone emulators to no longer function correctly. If you wish to re-enable the emulators you can follow these steps to re-install the virtual switches
used by the emulators.

First, open ‘Programs and Features’ from the Windows Control Panel and select the ‘Windows Phone 8.0 SDK’.

Next, click the ‘Change’ button in order to bring up the Repair/Uninstall dialog for the SDK, click the ‘Repair’ button and follow the instructions. When the repair finishes you will again be able to use the Windows Phone emulators.
