Hi I have been trying to sign into my xbox account on the app but it always comes up with the error (0x409) 0x80070002. I want to sign in so I can play with my friends on Minecraft Windows 10 Edition I try on it but the sign in crashes, I don't have the
admin password either.

If you can help that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sign in error

I'm currently having this problem where I can't sign into my Microsoft account on the app. I've already tried deleting one and adding another, but all I get is this error every time (0x409) 0x80070002

Hi,

There are several reasons why you're encountering issues with signing in to the Xbox app on Windows 10. One of these is if there's something wrong with your Xbox account. Availability of an update for the Xbox app can also be a factor.

I suggest to restart the computer (1) or if that doesn't work do in this link use the second method described on how fix the problem.

Hi there,

I think the problem was how the command was input into the command prompt. I believe there should be no spaces after and before the asterisks (*). Copy and paste this command into the command prompt: Get-AppxPackage *Xbox app* | Remove-AppxPackage

Copy and pasting should ensure it is done correctly. Once it's done restart your computer and open the Microsoft Store, then search for and download the Xbox App again.

If that doesn't help, I found a helpful article regarding this issue that could also be caused from a missing built-in app. Look over the article and go over all the steps:
