error 0x00000001 appears when i try to install any game off the xbox app

I do receive the same error code when trying to install large games like Halo MCC, Control or Yakuza, but smaller games like Guacamelee appear to install to my hard drive with no issue.

I am installing the upgrade right now but I'd like to hear any possible solutions in case that doesn't work.

EDIT: Did not work. Still receiving the same 0x00000001 error.

You can wait a bit and try again or restart your device. That may help. You may also see error code 0x00000001 in the Xbox app when you try to install or update a game. This likely means that there was an issue with a recent Windows update.

I'm in the same situation as this, I cannot install anything from the XBox app. I could previously but now nothing.

I've done the same steps and performed a full re-install of Windows (10) but the same thing is happening.

If yes, let's try to isolate a bit more the problem. For this please try:

A. Reinstall the Microsoft store and all its components. Use both methods provided by Lester

B. Open task manager > select the startup tab > disable all the programs listed there temporarily

Restart the PC and try again

C. Do a clean boot in your PC and try again

D. Can be a bit odd but:

Open the Control Panel in Windows.

After opening the control panel, set the “View by” on the top-right corner to “Large icons“.

Click on the “Network and Sharing Center” option.

Here, click on the “Change adapter settings” link on the left panel.

Now, right-click on the active network adapter and select “Properties“.

Go to the “Networking” tab.

Here, uncheck the “Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)” option.

Click on the “Ok” button to save changes.

Then close all the windows, restart your PC and try again

E. Create a new local administrator user in your PC and try from there
