    Error 03-57-00...


    Hi guys.

    Recently I bought TES: Oblivion from a friend, it work sometimes, but most of time the Xbox says Play DVD instead of Play Game when I insert the disc, and in some cases I get the error 03-57-00... I installed the game on my HD, so this means the disc is
    still working, but it has problems at the time of being read, making me unable to play...

    The disc have some scratches, this can be the cause of the errors? If I take it to polish in a video store, can it back to work 100%?

    PS: The other games work without a problem.

    Error 03-57-00...

    Hi there,

    those scratches can cause reading issues like this, there is no guarantee if it can be fixed.

    There is also the option called a Disc replacement, some of the publishers/developers of games offer such thing, usually at a small fee.

    Either the disk is bad, or the drive could have died. The best option would have been to send it in to Microsoft to fix it for $100, however they will likely refuse it now that you have opened it.

    Your best option would be to try a Microsoft repair, but be ready for it to be declined and to go out and buy a new XBox.
