erro:RED LIGHT and display"e82"

It will be green when the console is powered. Yellow is standby. Red is fault. Yellow with console powered usually will have the console display red error lights. Green is good to have, but still can have red error lights displayed if there is such an error.
Now red, red usually means a short or electrical problem like over or under voltage. Red on an Xbox whether the ring of light or psu is bad news.

How old is the console? And also 1 red light wil display and an on screen msg will appear. 2 red lights means the console is overheating. 3 red light is a hardware error and 4 red light only exist on the really old consoles (manufatured in late 2005 and
2006) 4 red light is av cable not detected

Thanks for the updates on your issue. As the Xbox 360 console is out of warranty and we no longer support repairs on out of warranty Xbox 360. You would need to replace it if unable to get the error to go away. The only troubleshooting we have to offer is
the
blinking light solution. If you try these and still does it. You will need to replace it. Sounds like it is over heating. AS this is the only solution I will be locking this thread.
