Erase Personal Data off of Xbox 360

Hello,

I am planning on selling my old 360 soon but I wanted to make sure all of my personal data was cleared first. Even without a hard drive attached, it still shows my PC's name when I go to the picture library or video library. Is there any way to remove this?
Perhaps some type of system wipe/re-format? I can't find anything for the system itself - all I can find is how to reformat hard drives.

Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

HDD Eraser-App

Hello,

I was recommended via Microsoft-Chat to download the HDD Eraser App, because I want to erase all Data from my old 360 (original model) since there are obviously still some personal informations on my hdd. I tried to do so, but I cannot find the App in the
Store on my 360. Is this App still available?

Xbox one and Xbox 360 memory

I got an Xbox One for Christmas and i signed in with my Xbox 360 account. How do i erase the Xbox 360 games data from my profile so i get more space in my Xbox One.

To my knowledge there isn't a factory reset on the Xbox 360 system. So it may not be possible to remove your PC name from the console. Not that it matters anyway, the Xbox 360 can only access files from a PC over a local area network. Rest assured, the
next person who gets your old console will not be able to access your PC videos and pictures.

I guess it's not that big of a deal, but it shows my PC's name and my real name: "PCNAME: First Last". I would rather the next person not have that but I suppose I can live with it.

Reformatting the hard drive like Cyber Monkey316 said, should bring it back to the factory default or whatever. I've never done it, though I probably should have when I sold my old 360 to gamestop years ago. Oh well, it seemed to be fine.

Hi Slayin,

Thanks for coming ot the forums with your issue with achievements. With playing offline it does save your data on the console. If for some reason that data got erased off the console before connecting online then that would erase that data completely. Then
when you connected you would get the save that was older. We recommend to try uninstall and reinstall the game since you haven't tried that. Personally these achievements unlocked for me so it could be profile related.
