I have the Epson 9300 PJ, an xbox one S and a Yamaha RXA3070. Is it possible with this combination to get all the boxes ticked for HDR on xbox one? Anyone have the same setup? The Epson I'm sure supports HDR. Got a professional installation done by cinema
people so they weren't sure on the gaming side of things. Need to look at the settings tonight. Picture looks amazing even without HDR so no big deal

    :)

Having the same issue, Epson 5040ub w/ Xbox One S, HDR isn't working on anything (UHD, Netflix, games) despite receiver and all cables being HDMI 2.0a / 4K HDR supported spec.

I saw your post and I was wondering why you were trying to hook up a printer to the Xbox One! I didn't know Epson made projectors...lol

From what I looked at on Amazon for the specs on the Epson, it states it does HDR and the Yamaha states it does HDR pass-through.

Plus you have to use the higher standard HDMI cables. Technically, the HDMI 1.4 standard will not work with HDR.

    In theory, it should work.

Issues that I've seen with HDR not working -

    - Not the correct or compatible HDMI cables

    - HDR setting on TV not enabled or "another setting" needing to be disabled on the TV for HDR to work

    - Home theater receiver not passing through the information correctly

The Xbox will do a check when you go to the right menu and it will do a check across the HDMI cable it's connected to.

HDR on Xbox One X and Xbox One S

I haven't used the higher end stuff but it couldn't hurt to search online for anyone else using your setup there

You must turn on HDR support for each device via their own settings, it is not automatically enabled by the projector or the soundbar. They also do not use the same language so may call 10-bit HDR support something entirely different.
