Entire TV screen picture is grayed out after "xbox on"

MOTOROLA MOR200BNR with Comcast.

So I haven't had the "We've lost your TV signal issue..." for maybe a week (fingers crossed it's actually been fixed). However, it's been replaced by a new problem. When I first wake the X1 from sleep ("xbox on") the entire TV screen is very,very dark as
though it were all grayed out. It affects everything - it's the entire TV picture - so all apps are affected include home, TV, skype, etc. After restarting the xbox ("xbox off" "xbox on") the problem appears to go away. But it's happened almost every time
I've turned on the xbox over the past 3 days or so.

Sigh.

Smart TV question with Xbox One

A Smart TV is not a touchscreen TV.

OP In my humble opinion you might as well get a smart TV as it will allow you to do things that the Xbox One can't - Like stream music, pictures & video from network devices.

I'm having the exact same issue. Just did a hard reset so I will see if that fixes it. if not, I will update this thread with any info I have..

 

After doing a hard reset, it seems the issue has been corrected. No more dark screen issues.

While the xbox was on, I held the power button down until the xbox shut off, then pulled the power cord out for 1 minute. Powered back up and all was good.

 

I can confirm the hard reset fixed this issue..

With the xbox on, hold the power button down until the xbox shuts off (about 7 seconds), then pull the power cord out of the back of the console. Wait about 1 minute. Plug the power cord back in, Power the console back on and all should be good.

 

Unfortunately the issue is back..

With the latest update 6.2.12521.0 (xb_rel_1503.150305.1449) fre I was getting a very dark screen when the console would turn on from instant on mode. There is no way to fix it unless you turn the Xbox One off then back on. I have done a hard reset and it
fixed the issue for 2 days. I have done the hard reset twice and the issue has come back again.

I did submit a trouble issue through the console with a screen shot but wanted to report it here as well.
