Entered Xbox live gold code that lasts a year....accepted it and I still can’t play online ...

I got an xbox live subscription code that was supposed to last a year as a gift from a friend, and my console accepted the code and I tried opening Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds yet I still can’t play it....I also got a 3 month card as a backup but I haven’t
used that yet in fear that it will be wasted money too. A hefty $60.00 was wasted on a code, is there any possible way that I can make them work?

Issues with prepaid codes not working after being entered.

Today, August 23, I enter a prepaid code for a 14 day trial of xbox live gold because my gold subscription had run out. After I entered the code it confirmed it and said I now have the 14 day xbox live gold trial. But, when I went to play Titanfall or any
other online game it keeps on telling me to upgrade to Xbox live gold. I then entered in a 48 hour xbox live gold trial prepaid code because I thought the last code was messed up, and it confirmed it but then did not work again on any online game!!! Please
help.

 

Xbox Live Not Working

Last night I had purchased and entered the digital code for a 12 month subscription to Xbox Live Gold on the Xbox One, but my account says that I need to renew my Xbox live Gold subscription. When I go to the “my subscriptions” tab in my consoles settings
it says that my subscription expires on 01/28/2019, but I can’t even start a party chat. I still can purchase content with Xbox Live Gold discounts, but I bought my Xbox Live Gold subscription for the sole purpose of using the online multiplayer features.
