Entered a gift card wrong

I entered the cvv code on a visa gift card wrong to many times and it just say that didn't work try again later so I did and entered it right but I keep getting the same message what should I do?

XBOX gift card can't use!!!

Hello,

I entered a Xbox gift card of 50$ as explained on the microsoft website but when my son buy stuff, Microsoft is still taking money from my credit card. It doesn't recongize the 50$ amount in the microsoft account (account.microsoft).

What is wrong?

If you wrongly enter payment info or get too many declined transactions, it will freeze your account for up to 72 hours. This is to prevent people trying to guess things like cvv codes as clearly if you had an endless number of attempts, eventually you'd
get the right cvv code.

All you can do mow I'm afraid is wait out the 72 hours. Bare in mind to, that any attempts you make within that time frame, be they incorrect or correct may reset that countdown. So best just to wait 72 hours now.

Tell your friend, not recommended if they are not long, enter your account and enter the gift card.

when we entered the fortnite gift cards it was for the fortnite game. When we entered the code it gives you, the game told us it was incorrect. I am out hundred of dollars in fortnite cards, I guess the money is lost in the faming world somewhere. I have tons of fortnite cards that we will not enter b/c I know we will not find the money. As for the xbox gift card, it was entered and looked like it paid for the game, but why is it showing my credit card?
