    Enter the Gungeon for PC not reading save files.


    This is for Enter the Gungeon, which I play on the Xbox app for PC. I was just playing a few days ago and logged out normally. Today when I tried to start playing, all the save content was gone, it started me from the beginning. I have a lot of characters and guns unlocked, I would really not want to lose this file.

    I have located the save files in the AppData > Local > Packages > DevolverDigital.57610FDDAB1AC_6kzv4j18v0c96 and they are all there so I saved them separately for safekeeping.

    Anyone have an idea as to why it is still not loading the save files even though they are in the correct folder?

    I'm sorry for your issue. Honestly, I don't think it's possible to understand what happened, but we can try to fix the game following the procedure recommended by Microsoft.

    Even though it might seem obvious, it's always best to ensure that our PC and all drivers are up to date. The same goes for the Xbox app and the game. Make sure there are no updates to be done for both. If you've already checked and everything is up to date, I suggest trying to repair the game.

    To repair the game

    Open the Xbox app and then go to my Library, select your game.
    Select the More Options button (...),
    then Manage.
    Select Files and then verify and repair.

    If the issue remains, you can also remove and reinstall Gaming services.

    To do this you must press the Start button on the taskbar,
    type 'powershell,'
    right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select 'Run as administrator.'

    In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:

    get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

    In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:
    start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

    Install the app on that page and select 'Yes' when you receive the User Account Control (UAC)
    prompt.
    Restart your device and try to install the game again.

    I hope repairing the game will be sufficient.
