Account payments

I have an account in Xbox Live and I did cancel it as you told me to - I had to enter in the account I want to cancel and uncheck the option "renew automatically". The final topic says the account would be canceled by the end of the actual range of time.

Now I see there is a charge pending in my account. Why that? Didn't I canceled at the right time and in the right way? Do I really have to pay the amount for the account to be canceled?

My first XBOX console

I just got the console. It looks in excellent condition, 250gb and one of the controllers is still in the packaging.

Shall i factory reset it?
One more thing. I live in Cyprus and i am not sure if xbox live is supported. Shall i create a UK account? If i do will i be able to top up my account with prepaid cards without entering any credit card details?

You can check the purchase history of your account at
https://commerce.microsoft.com

Then check your account's login activity on Sign in to your Microsoft account

If you see suspicious logins follow Oraclea's advice and check your account security.

Ideally go to
https://account.live.com/Proofs/Manage and change your password. If you own a smartphone (iOS, Android or Windows Phone will work), I'd also highly recommend to set up Two Step Verification and an Authenticator App on that website.
