Enough with the synch

In the last couple of months i've been struggling with error 105. I won't bother saying which platform, because the problem is not with the platform, or the hardware or anything of the sort. Form what i've experienced, tried and read online, i've pinpointed the problem to microsoft and their stupid synching. And across all platforms the solution is the same: soft reset that deletes the profile data (there it is, the root of the problem), which leads to error 102 and offline update. It always works but it's tedious and it forces you to reimpost the profile and preferences everytime.

Error 105 coincidentally happens consistently in periods of high traffic, in the holidays and the evenings. And when it happens the amazon servers also are under heavy strain, which makes me wonder whether microsoft is renting from amazon or outsourcing to amazon, either way the synching of the local profile data gets botched, either on startup or shut down.

The solution is simple, remove the synching. Who ever asked for it anyway? Ahh but the synching is there to syphon data, to track trends and habits! Then maybe get better servers? Afterall, even if the volume of users doesn't increase, the amount of data will. And that's what i believe microsoft did a few weeks back (the problem is not and prominent as it was late november) but it's not enough.

Microsoft greed for data is coming at the users expense, and because of the trouble you are causing i can assure you i will no longer be a customer. I'll build a pc and i will not even run windows on it, because the synching issue happens there too, i've seen laptops that don't shutdown or don't startup too, same problem, different coat of paint.

Microsoft has been caught in a death spiral and if you are an employee that has some stocks, i suggest you sell them now because if microsoft survives this generation, it will die the next.
