Enforcement.......

I just want to say what I know is the thoughts on a very large number of other's minds. Xbox enforcement is a sad excuse of a department. They act as if they are dictators. They hide behind their computer screens and do as they please. With no repercussions.
They don't have a phone number. They don't have a chat session. They don't even reveal an email address.

They ban you for what they call valid reasons. But they can't share exactly what those valid reasons are. They finally create a way for us to appeal any or part of a suspension, but with a very limited space to type in your case. They claim to do thorough
investigations. That is the most laughable statement I've read from them. They do what is the easiest thing to do, to get a paycheck, keep the bosses happy, and go home. Never once was their intent on making ALL of our experiences more pleasant.

In their own ways, they themselves are the bullies and COWARDS. Do I have all the answers? Nope. And good luck finding the right ways to handle things. But I can tell you this. There's always 3 sides to every story. Maybe you should read between the lines
once in a while. You may find a more appropriate way to handle things that wouldn't be the same as if you handled it the way you do now. Good luck cowards. I'm sure we will be meeting again.

One thing that we're maybe forgetting...

Why do you think the xbox one has mandatory checks on games within 24hours and Sony doesn't? It's blatantly obvious Sony won't enforce the same level DRM as the xbox one.

 

Like in society, here you have an code of conduct, if you want to not get banned you need to learn to respect that code, like in real life. If Microsoft banned you is because they had a reason to do it.

 

I kind of agree with you there, but the enforcement team only do that to ban or suspend bad players.

 

Sorry to hear you're upset. However, no one here can help in enforcement issues here. The only place to get info on or review an enforcement is https://enforcement.xbox.com/

 

If you only read the Code of Conduct and Terms of use of Xbox which you agreed to follow in the beginning in creating your Gamertag, then all those you think about the Enforcement team is completely wrong.

Its in the agreement that they can banned, suspend you if you broke the rules.

Its in there agreement to not share the reasons behind everyone's suspension for privacy reason and to prevent retaliation.

If you can't explain yourself in case review for a few words then you don't have any valid reason to have it uplift in the first place. Xbox is the only gaming system that has an appeal venue, PS don't even have this.

They do not just banned everyone to get a paycheck and keep the boss happy, rather a company will definitely loose money to players that don't follow the rules and decided not to continue with the service, but they will always be minority and MS is still
a multibillion company so its all just a scratch to them.

The only way to reach them is thru a case review, reason why they don't have a phone, email, chat to contact with is it will be only spam/abuse by people that will scream all day just to get unbanned so hence you will never even reach them.

Of course they are not bullies and cowards, you don't know them personally so don't assume to much and try to actually read the ToS and CoC of Xbox so you won't whine so much with your banned punishment and why you got it.
Suspensions always occur as a result of a specific Code of Conduct violation.

No need to take things personally as the enforcement team is just trying to keep the community safe. Just keep in mind that in your review you have 500 characters at your disposition, more than enough to tell your side of story.

 

Whilst i have never been banned, I have seen friends banned for very stupid comments but if it breaks the code of conduct then you can't really complain.

I do think the case review questionnaire is quite good in gauging whether a player should even have a chance of having their ban reviewed, After all if you cannot answer a few questions correctly that relate to your knowledge of the code of conduct then
maybe the ban was needed.

The one thing i would say is that over the years there have been quite a few instances of microsoft getting it wrong and having to not only remove a ban but also compensate for it, There was a case in 2011 where quite a large number of players received
bans due to a glitch in the software that detects modded consoles, All players received 3 months of xbox live gold in compensation for the error and had the bans removed.

While that is an isolated case it does prove that sometimes things can get messed up.

 

If you cannot answer the questionnaire questions it means you are not aware of the service rules as stated in the Code of Conduct. Anyway if you fail the questionnaire you can still try again after 24 hrs

 

Admittedly i myself have been banned before in my youth and competitive playing days. That being said, it was for a completely legitimate and valid reason.

The Xbox enforcement team are not in the job the be bullies, they are in the job to keep the Xbox live community a safe space for anyone of any gaming age.

I've seen friends have communication bans for overly aggressive language in game chat, I've also had friends have a temporary ban for putting inappropriate pictures as their gamer pictures.

I respect anyone's opinion and whilst trying to remain a neutral I sadly have to side with the enforcement team. Though I hate to use the word, to 'police' such a vast amount of people and keep Xbox as clean as it currently is massive credit needs to be
paid to them.

 

And here we go again. We quote verbatim a scripture in the Enforcement books. I have never said I was in the right. I'm not an inmate in jail or prison claiming that I am completely innocent. Never once did I state this. I was guilty for lashing out on someone.
I said what I said. I was rightfully banned for it. But why? Why was I banned? Simple, right?

It's easy. Open and close. I can see what this gentleman has written in a message. It meets our criteria. This one was easy. Just ban him. Sound about right? Yeah so did the enforcement team. So when you're in a public library and a young woman comes running
in screaming her heart out, but the signs say quiet, I guess it's open and closed case. She's in violation. Let's kick her out. Little did your ignorance get you there. She may have been screaming for help. She may have even reported why she was screaming.
But does that matter? Nope. She's in violation. Kick her out... That is exactly what you are teaching and preaching. So I don't blame anyone for raising hell with any of them.

But it's easy to judge someone's actions by simply putting it against your so called code of conduct. And for that, it makes you lazy. And for you to tell me that every case should fit in a single paragraph, when it comes to arguing a case... tell that to
a judge. And so we don't try and sound smart and flip this into a "this isn't a courtroom " so each, tell it to the lady screaming in the library. But thinking your are in the COMPLETE right, just because it meets a statute, does not work. Not always. So anyone
needing to argue a case should be given plenty of space to give a detailed explanation of their argument. But you all own the pants here. You tighten the belt. Hell, you even take the belt off and whoop us with it. And there will never be anyone to put you
in your place. That my friend, makes you the bully.

And so we cant put you in your place, you don't reveal any other means of contact. But it is real easy for you to spout off some template speach and claim that you have done exactly what you were supposed to do and that this judgment will stand.... All while
again hiding behind your computer screen, makes you a coward. There should be a code of conduct for that. Clearly we all can tell you are in that little ring, based on your template speach. And I'm sure that you can look my incident up.

Go ahead, look it up. It took me calling customer support. I then talked to a support person. And guess what? I talked to them like a civilized human being. Big surprise, right? I stated my case to them. And then I gave them my evidence as well. And I was
told that this most definitely needed to be a case that was opened again and looked into. The next thing I know. Enforcement does their job the way it should've been handled the first time. The other party also faced a penalty.

You can save the whole 2 wrongs don't make a right speach. We all know the golden rule too. But every human, I don't care who you are, has a limit. You have a point. A breaking point even. When some customers are harassed on the daily and Enforcement does
nothing about it because it wasn't a simple open and closed case, we will get tired of it. We will lash back out. And the only reason that you all did your job right the 2nd time was because the same idiot that got me banned, decided to continue to harass
me and sent me messages after my ban. That made it another easy one for you. Because looking into the issue the 1st time was too much work. And allowing me the space to state my case in the review was uncalled for.

So, get to another template speach. I'm sure it's coming. But good luck convincing me any different.

like it's all gravy baby.... That is until it's you in the hot seat, right? When that day comes and you are in the hot seat, remember this garbage you spew.

No different than all of these couch quarterbacks sitting there watching a cop make a split second decision in a life threatening situation. He should've done that. He shouldn't have done that. If I were him, I'd have done it that way. Wake up!!!! I'm not
