  1. Enforcement team used my free gamertag change. They want me to pay 9.99 for something I ...

So my gamertag has been for the past year and a half. Last night the Xbox Enforcement team changed my gamertag to Something else. They used my ONE free gamertag change. And now Xbox is wants to charge me 9.99 to change it to something else.
They're charging me for something they did. It's basically robbing me. I know I don't have to change my gamertag but I dont want the one the Enforcement team gave me. So basically Xbox stole what was mine, and now they're trying to charge me to get back
what they stole from me. The Enforcement team is basically bullying Xbox players, taking their money. I've never had anyone have a problem with my gamertag. I don't cuss people out or fight. Almost every player I've talked to says "wow i love your gamertag".
It doesn't offend anyone, or a race, religion, or culture. Why let me stay as for a year and then change it. If my gamertag was truly offensive they would've changed it weeks after I made the account. After wrongfully changing my gamertag,
they now want to charge me 9.99 for something they did. I've spoken to 4 Xbox/Microsoft employees and they can't do anything for me but I asked them for a professional opinion about "" and they said "to me no it's not offensive, it's playful".
It's also within the code of conduct. The only thing is comes close to breaking is profanity but the word "Hoe" isn't profane. It's a garden tool. Wether I meant it as that or not, it's still within guidelines.

Anyways, Xbox please reconsider or at least give me back my free gamertag change that you stole from me.

    :)

I want to change my gamertag and I understand how, and I know you get to change it once for free. I want to use my one time to change it for free but its not letting me. It says I have to pay $9.99 WHEN I STILL HAVE MY ONE CHANGE FOR FREE. Please help me.
    Thanks

Xbox Enforcement | How Do I
I received a forced Gamertag change. Can XBLPET let me choose a new Gamertag for free?
Some rumors give the impression that XBLPET will provide a free Gamertag change to accounts that have received a forced Gamertag change. This is not the case.

In the past, a forced Gamertag change gave users the opportunity to change the offending Gamertag free of charge. Unfortunately, this gesture was prone to abuse, and many people simply chose new, equally offensive Gamertags. As a result, the Gamertag enforcement
process changed. A forced Gamertag change now automatically assigns a new Gamertag to the account, much in the same way a system-generated Gamertag is provided when you first sign up for Xbox Live.

If a player is unhappy with the assigned Gamertag and wishes to change it, he or she may purchase a new Gamertag through the

    standard Gamertag change process
    .

You used your free name change to change your gamertag into the offensive one.

When you start a account you are given a random gamertag, you can change from that random tag to one of your choosing once for free.

The first word in your gamertag also means something else, not just a garden tool, which I suspect you knew.

The reason it took a year to catch it is that it has only now been reported, there is no time limit on when you can be punished for a offence.

If a gamertag is not suitable for xbox live it is not suitable for the forums.

    Gamertag Change

The only people who can change your gamertag are the Enforcement Team. They do not look at these forums, also they only change a gamertag that violates the Terms of Use/Code of Conduct. In that case it is a system generated gamertag not one of your choice.
They no longer issue free changes so you will have to pay the $9.99 if you wish to change your tag.

    Can't change gamertag

If your gamertag was forcefully changed by Xbox Live Enforcement then that is it. You can no longer pick your own or get a free one because people were exploiting it to just get free gamertag changes. You have to pay $9.99 as you normally would if you were
going to change it yourself. The Enforcement team does not go around changing gamertags for no good reason, your gamertag must have infringed on the Code of Conduct.

    Gamertag

Sorry, but that is the policy that you agreed to. It states in the code of conduct that if a gamertag violates the code, the enforcement team will change the gamertag to a randomly generated tag and you will need to pay to change it to something you want.
The policy used to be that you would be given a free change, but this was abused by too many people.
