Enforcement team Updating a gamer tag

My son wants to simply capitalise the first letter of his existing gamer tag. He understands there is a charge for this. The system will not allow it as it doesn't recognise capitalisation. The technical support team using live chat have suggested I post
here for the enforcement team to assist..

Gamer tag change by enforcement team

Apparently my gamer tag has been changed by the enforcement team. It will cost $10 to change to something I would like other than the gamer tag provided to me by the enforcement team. Any way to change my gamer tag for free?

Have you checked the enforcement teams website enforcement.xbox.com to make sure that the enforcement team did not do a forced gamer tag change on you?

Are you sure the gamer tag isn't already in use by someone else who is using a capital letter? Using capital letters is no problem.

@op,the enforcement team don't read these forums & even if they did there's nothing they can do.

In order to do what your son wants he would have to pay twice for a name change.

Once to change the tag to something completely different in order to free up his current tag,then again to change the different tag back to his old one but with a capital letter.

The problem is that it was the enforcement team that changed your gamertag due to complaints that it was a violation of the code of conduct. and with it being an enforcement action (forced gamer tag change) through the enforcement team there would be a charge
to change it to a gamer tag of your choice.

You can try and appeal the gamertag change by signing into your account at enforcement.xbox.com and filing a case review

The enforcement team does not monitor these forums. they only handle things through their website.

Like others have stated NO one here can help you with an enforcement issue the ONLY people that can help you is the enforcement team at their website enforcement.xbox.com You can go there and file for a case review which will give you a chance to appeal
your gamer tag change and someone from the enforcement team will reinvestigate and determine if your gamer tag truly violated the code of conduct and determine if they would allow you to have that gamer tag back or not.
