    Enforcement Team - Changing Gamertag fee


    I recently had my gamer tag changed without warning it use to be [Mod Removed], I am very displeased to find out that i have to pay 10$ in order to change it to something I would prefer. Its ridiculous that they did this, there is no profound
    words in my name and it was a joke, Online has no ESRB ratting so what is the problem. I honestly dont care about the old tag, i just want a new one.

    Why must I have to pay if i was given no warning or any policy when creating the tag, if i was i would have, then I would never created that name in the first place, along with the name being changed, you should be left off with a Waring saying (we found
    your name breaching our code of conduct here's and option to change it, if you keep the tag you will be banned and charged) like it makes no sense too me. I honestly really dont want to pay the fee, if someone could wave it or help me out I would really appreciate
    it.

    Fee changing gamertag

    Why is it a fee for changing gamertag more than once?

    Children tends to change gamertag, nickname now and then. It's in there nature.

    The fee is about 1/6 or 1/7 part of a new game. So if you change gamertag 6-7 times it's the cost of a new game. What is the motivation for that?

    need a gamertag change...

    The only way to change your Gamertag is to pay the fee for doing so.

    The only 'free' change is if your Gamertag is offensive and the Enforcement Team takes action, but then you will be assigned a random Gamertag and have no control over what it is and if you want your own you still need to pay the fee for doing so.

    What a load of rubbish in no way or form is that gamer tag offensive? How ridiculous is Microsoft... forcing you have to pay for a name change because a few enforcement united deemed it to be.

    Need Help!

    The Enforcement Team only applies a forced name change (randomly-generated, unchosen by you) if it violates the Code of Conduct, which yours do not.

    Thus the only way to change your Gamertag is to pay the fee to do so.

    In the meantime, report and block any people harassing you on Live and these cases will be looked into by the Enforcement Team.
