    Enforcement notice

    hello Microsoft

I got an enforcement notice on my email regarding my behavior on Xbox live. As a loyal customer to the brand for a long period of time, I feel upset and worried because I have never recieved any issues such as this. This player "donvetto" gamertag reportedly
me falsely for my behavior. Anybody can use the report feature as a joke a falsely accuse. I feel upset because you microsoft didn't contact me about the issue

    :)

    enforcement notice

The enforcement team are a group of real people who do investigate each complaint they receive. So they don't issue suspensions unless they have determined a person has done something to violate the code of conduct. As far as any type of procedure, usually
someone would file a complaint on another person which goes to the enforcement team. They take a look into any messages, gameplay, etc. that may have caused the issue. If they determine something was done to violate the code, they issue a suspension or ban.

If your son is receiving offensive messages he needs to report those people and block communications with them. It doesn't matter how a situation starts. In a situation like that, if you respond in a way that violates the code of conduct, you can be punished.

Any information about the suspension would be listed on the enforcement site. The enforcement team will not give specifics.

my son was banned and I asked x box why ,x box has upheld this decision which is fine if he done something wrong then hey he should be banned ,all I wanted to know was

    1. does a real person look at what behaviour was being used

    2. what is the procedure for getting banned

    3. my son received many disgusting texts (saying he rapes kiddies like is dad)and maybe retaliated.

4.what exactly did my son say or do so we as parents can deal with this aswell

all xbox done was upheld it without answering any of my questions

how can we as parents deal with any bad behaviour if we don't know what the behaviour is

thank you xbox people for keeping us in the dark cheers

    Enforcement notice

A common misconception is that a certain number of reports will result in an automatic suspension. According to the myth, even if you haven’t done anything wrong someone can get you suspended by encouraging players to file many complaints. This is completely
    untrue.

XBLPET investigates complaints and takes each report into consideration when making an enforcement decision, but a certain volume or frequency of complaints doesn’t guarantee a suspension. We take an evidence-based approach to enforcement and take numerous
factors into account when considering issuing a suspension. The context around the content or activity is particularly essential and drives our decision-making process. Simply put, there is no magic formula that instantly results in a suspension.

Despite what some may claim, XBLPET will never ever ban anyone “for no reason”. Suspensions alwaysoccur as a result of a specific Code of Conduct violation.

The Code of Conduct clearly outlines the rules of Xbox Live and establishes what content and behavior is not appropriate. We strongly encourage all players to familiarize themselves with this document (don’t worry, it’s a quick read!) to best understand
how to keep Xbox Live fun for everyone. When a player agrees to the Microsoft Services Agreement and Code of Conduct, it’s expected that they understand the rules of the service.

In many cases, a suspension itself also acts as a warning. When XBLPET issues a suspension, it serves as an indication that a Code of Conduct violation occurred and affected player needs to re-visit the rules. If you receive a suspension, please take a moment
to think about the behavior that led to it and visit our Stay Safe section to understand how Code of Conduct violations negatively impact the Xbox Live community.

You will need to log in to your Xbox account.

    Notice of enforcement

As long as you are following the Code of conduct which can be found here https://enforcement.xbox.com/en-US/home/codeofconduct then even if someone reports you then you will not get a notice of enforcement.

Even if you mess up and send someone a message that is a violation of the code of conduct then your account is subject to an enforcement action if that message is reported.

Most enforcement actions do give you the choice of a case review when going to the enforcment teams website enforcement.xbox.com where the enforcement team will reinvestigate the case and decide if they can lift the suspension sooner.

The only way that the enforcement team can be reached is through the case review process. They do not monitor these forums nor do they monitor the chat rooms.

web site and if eligible you can also request a case review from here.

    Notice of enforcement

Just because you've been on live for a certain amount of time doesn't make you exempt from the rules.

If you replied to someone with communications that violated the ToU/CoC then you run the risk of being suspended.

Best to report & block anyone abusing you on live, don't respond.

You can file for a case review here
    http://enforcement.xbox.com/Home/HowTo#sub-topic0-6
if eligible & it's the only way to contact the enforcement team, they don't use the forums.

Details should also have been sent to the email address of the account that received enforcement action. I'd recommend checking the Enforcement page (http://enforcement.xbox.com) from the account in question as well as the details on the "How do I?" FAQ
page here: https://enforcement.xbox.com/en-US/home/howTo#sub-topic0-0. You should also check out the Case Review page if you feel the action is unjust for some reason or not violating the Code of Conduct. In addition, 24 hour suspensions do you qualify for
    a case review.
