    I got an Xbox 1 for Christmas this year, and used one of the suggested gamer tags from Microsoft. Fast forward 2 weeks, I was notified that I had got a complaint about my gamertag and was changed by enforcement. I submitted a case review stating I was confused
    and don’t mess with anybody, and have only played destiny 2 where I come across several random people. The decision was upheld because my gamertag had the word “sex” in it. I was not happy that that was deemed offensive so I decided I would just change it.
    I later found out that I have to pay 9.99 to change it. I tried to contact enforcement to provide more information but since the case was closed, I have no way to get in contact with them, even through their website. I contacted Xbox support a total of 5 times
    (3 via messenger, and 2 calls) the representatives I spoke with through messenger tried to refer me to enforcement, but I tried to explain that I already submitted a case review and they have no way to contact them, but I was then given another automatic response
    to file a case review. They also told me they have no way for them to contact enforcement.. 2 times I asked to speak with management and was told my information was passed on and they would contact me back in a specific timeframe, but never was. I called
    in and explained my situation and told them I just wanted to change my gamertag and not be charged and was told to pay for it and request a refund. I asked to speak to a manager, but they were busy and were going to call me back In 30min, but never did. I
    paid to change my gamer tag, and called back 3 hours later just to be told there is no record of the call and was put through to a manager (at this point I’m livid). I explained my story, and he referred me here to have enforcement contact me.

    ALL I want is to have a refund for the gamertag change since, 1. I used a suggested Xbox gamertag from the Xbox website and, 2. I was told I could get one from customer support on the phone. Please help me with this. I have been getting the run around for
    about a week now.

    I have now had the run around by Xbox support for a week and have even been lyied to and blown off. I am disappointed in the customer service and the inability to contact those that can force actions against your account. I Have read through this forum and
    have read countless examples of customers that are having similar issue and need to contact enforcement but are left high and dry. I enjoy my Xbox but if this lackluster customer service and support continues, I may not be a customer ever again.

  2. Does anyone have a problem with my Gamertag?

    Just curious if the gametag MyKneeGrows82 offends anyone and why? i have been a loyal x-box player for over a decade, and suddenly after thousands of people seeing my gamertag, and not having a problem with it, enforcement changes my gamertag, which by the way does not include any of the things that they say it shouldn't, so am i being singled out as an example? i don't see how showing proudly my race in my gamertag is a problem. Any thoughts on whether or not this should be possible for enforcement to do when the gamertag is in violation of none of the requirements of the enforcement&policies agreement whatsoever.

    Currently, their is no way to directly contact Xbox enforcement.

    Also, nobody here on the forums can address issues dealing with enforcement actions.

    All information and what you can do about it will be on the enforcement website.

  7. I have had to make 2 forums now because the first one was locked out and no more replies can be added. The last comment on it pretty much stated I was provided wrong information from support, and apparently that is common for them to do this, and at this
    point there is nothing I can do. Support has now lied to me on 3 separate occasions. I don’t understand how a company like Microsoft can allow such poor customer service. This situation will impact my future purchases in regulated to Xbox and they have lost
    a customer. The worst part is, they truly don’t care. For anyone who reads this, I advise to stay away from Xbox until they overhaul their customer service and treat their customers as F they are an inconvenience.

    Xbox Support cannot do anything about any enforcement action. Their intent was to help, up until they found out the issue was created by a choice you made.

    Xbox Support is there to help troubleshoot account and console issues, not Xbox Enforcement actions.

    You violated the code of conduct and you want Xbox to pay for that?

    What are examples of content that is prohibited in Xbox Live?

    Content that is controversial. For example:

    Sexual, provocative, pornographic, or adult content

    Consequences

    A violation of the Microsoft Code of Conduct may be cause for these or other actions:

    Automatic assignment of a new Gamertag, if you create an inappropriate Gamertag.

    You stated "This situation will impact my future purchases". It should, if you were to continue to violate the code of conduct. You could end up getting your account banned if you do something bad enough.

    - Permanent suspension or device ban, if you repeatedly commit violations.

  9. interesting, you posted on the other forum. You sound like an employee, if not please don’t speak on their behalf. As you claim it is not supports job to help with these issues yet they provided me with false information 3 separate times now. I don’t buy
    the excuse, we don’t have anything to do with enforcement, yet it is part of the same company. And as a word of the wise to anyone who gets an Xbox, if a child finds anything offensive about your name, or even if they are sore losers and get there buddies
    to spam report you. The word Sex is now offensive. And even though the game isn’t intended for mature audiences, Xbox caters to children. Another example of make the majority cater to the the minority. Yea I had sex in my name, it was SexTRex. Once again popped
    up as one of the suggested names when you go to change your gamertag, an no, it was suggested before anything was typed. With this experience using suggested gamertag, and even being told if I change it, I can get a refund, and to post here and enforcement
    will see it. This is a shady company. I advise everyone to do research with peoples experiences by reading through these forums and see all the examples of people being screwed over. I will ask this one more time, are you an employee? I based my actions off
    of Xbox suggestions and information provided to me from actual employees. Turned out to be false information, and I noticed you did not comment on that.

    Yikes! I see you've been busy while I was away.

    So let's unpack all of what you've got goin' on here.

    - This is not Xbox Support here in the forums. And I'm not speaking on their behalf, nor am I an employee but let's just say I have an understanding of how things work.

    - I am not here to pretend to be, or impersonate myself as an employee.

    - Xbox Support can help troubleshoot the account and the console. And their intent was to try and help, before they found out that your gamer tag was forcibly changed.

    - Because of the enforcement action on your account, they CANNOT reimburse you for the expense of changing your gamer tag again

    - Xbox Support cannot assist with ANY Enforcement action. This is by design. The Xbox Enforcement Team is a closed group and the ONLY point of contact is through the case review process.

    - What sort of enforcement can I expect for creating an offensive Gamertag or Real Name?

    If you create an offensive or inappropriate Gamertag, it will be replaced with a new automatically-generated Gamertag. If your Real Name content is deemed offensive it will not be changed, but the ability to share it with others on Xbox Live will be disabled.

    - I know you didn't post a video but the information is still relevant below.
    - But my video was from a Mature-rated title, why was it taken down?

    Remember, Xbox Live is designed for users of all ages and your clips and screenshots may be viewable by anyone! You’re welcome to create content from a Mature-rated title, but Kinect content (including audio, video, and text) must be appropriate for an audience
    of all ages. Gameplay clips or screenshots that are likely to be perceived as provocative, including those featuring egregious violent or lewd content without adequate context, may also be considered inappropriate.

    - Are you going to get a refund or reimbursed for a Gamer Tag that was a violation of the code of conduct? I doubt it.

    - Regardless of the game you're playing or what you're saying, you're responsible for your actions on your account. Violate the code of conduct and face the consequences.

    - Why am I taking so much time to explain this? I'm trying to give you accurate information and expectations. I don't have anything to gain by posting here. I just don't like seeing the service or the people who are working hard to provide a service or
    information berated or belittled here.

    - You have your demands and expectations for what you want to happen here AK, which is fine. I'm trying to provide you with some hard facts and links to the actual information that you have issues with.

  15. then you missed my point. You sure seem to spend a lot of time on these forums. Seems like you are an employee, but since you claim that you are not, then don’t claim to give me “accurate” information. Support has never once told me they are only for troubleshooting.
    They have however constantly provided me with false information. That is part of my issue. All you have said is they don’t help with that. If that is the truth, then they need to stop giving information they are not sure is true then. The other half of my
    issue is contacting enforcement, and the only reason I posted on the forum isn’t because a manager in support told me even enforcement I’ll see this post. Once again, false information. There have been multiple failures from Microsoft. The irony of this all,
    Microsoft came through and made this situation right, which made me gain respect for them. And on top of that, steps have been made so that others are not suggest “inappropriate” gamer tags. End of the day, was a win / win.
