Enforcement ban for communication. No context.

Hello, I was wondering if someone could help get me context for a communications ban I recently received. This is the second communication ban I've gotten in the past 5 months, and I've been a live user since the original console and haven't had any issues/violations.
I have no idea of what I was banned over, and with a lack of context I have no idea how to prevent this from happening again. I already sent in a case review and requested for context through them, but I was highly disappointed to receive a generic automatic
response that was overall very pointless. Any help or information of where to get help would be greatly appreciated.

    :)

Xbox Enforcement is a absolute joke. On the front page it says "Context Matters," however, in their case review where they left my ban for 2 weeks, they used no evidence of context.

The alleged help that the enforcement team offers.

I've had 2 communication bans over the course of around 7 years. The enforcement team offers little to no help. You're only given 500 words to explain yourself. To which you receive a smug response which clarifies nothing. Is there no way around these inept
people? So far the only lessons these communication bans have taught me is to only harass in game chat. It seems the enforcement team only take action if for any reason you send your harassment via text in any context. They seem to punish the victim for retaliating
without fail. The previous ban, I couldn't even appeal because their system bugged and lost my appeal so they just closed my case. How can people who perform their job so poorly dictate how I spend my time online? To say they are bad at their job doesn't cover
it. They perform the opposite function that they were hired to do. The enforcement team is actively detrimental, and more often than not punishes the victims of harassment.

    Hey there Lt Streko,

The Enforcement teams don't use the forums at all and they only communicate through a

    Case Review
. 24 Hour communications suspensions and Console Suspensions are not reviewable however, you can however find more information in these cases through the communication sent by the teams to the email address associated with your Xbox Live
Gamertag. If you're eligible, you can submit a case review using the steps
    HERE
, however sometimes you're asked to complete a short questionnaire before you can submit a case review. All of the questions refer to the

    Code of Conduct
, which you should review prior to filing the review.

In short, only the Enforcement team will have more information on a suspension and they only communicate through the case review. It's best to really ensure that you're following the Code of Conduct while on Xbox Live. If you do that, then you'll never have
to worry about any enforcement actions on your account.

    Hope that helps!

I appreciate you taking the time to answer me, but I've already followed the steps you listed beforehand through the Case Review, but the case was closed with only a single response that did not answer any of my questions or concerns involving
the ban. Essentially I want to know what I said/did to receive the ban that way I know not to do it again since it's breaking Xbox's Code of Conduct. I find what's written in the code of conduct somewhat vague in terms of what can/can't be said on Xbox live.
Obviously I shouldn't be threatening to harm someone and I shouldn't use offensive language. However, the problem is "Offensive Language" is a broad term. Obviously I shouldn't use racial remarks and/or starting going on a screaming rampage, but even saying
something innocent like "Oh god, don't be dumb just shoot him" could be considered offensive by some. Essentially what I'm trying to say is, "Offensive Language" is not exactly a fine line, and I want to know when exactly I crossed the line to make sure I
never do it again. I can't become a better person and ensure I follow the rules if I don't know what I did to break said rule was. I would prefer to have this conversation with a member of the enforcement team, but that's no longer possible.
I really don't want to get banned again.

  6. Hey, Streko!

The general rule is if you wouldn't hear it on a PG-rate movie, making it safe for most users on the service, it shouldn't be said. I've quoted below the incredibly specific things called out in the Code of Conduct for you, to help ease any further confusion.
Note that this includes saying these items even to friends in a joking manner; anyone can feel attacked by phrases or words and can report them. Outside of that, we are unable to assist further with Enforcement actions. The decision seems to be upheld by Enforcement,
    based on your post.

Because we are not able to assist with Enforcement actions, this thread will be locked. If you have any support issues we can assist with, then please do not hesitate to post up a new detailed thread so that our community can work on helping you out. Thanks
    for understanding!

would be nice if the enforcement team followed their own code of conduct

it clearly states that they (the enforcement team) take things in context

yet i get a communication ban when playing red dead online, reported by griefers who admit to grieving me 3vs1, heaven forbid they (the enforcement team) take 5 minutes to read a full message, no they read one line, ignore the context and ban

why is it enforcement team are allowing players to use the report system for their own amusement?

The problem we have with people fake reporting, is the post are taken out of context, it is a rockstar grand theft auto feed, the games about obviously stealing cars, killing, drugs, basically everything illegal, if I put any comment about gta, if it's taken out of the context of feed which always happens, you don't know where the comments made and what context they were set in. Like for instance a common comment on a gta. " MC work pays good this week I've got warehouses full of coke, meths and weed going to have fun selling them " which is regular gta feed comment. Take that out of the gta feed. You get a communication ban. So basically the enforcement team may as well ban rockstars grand theft auto feed, because players can't talk about the feeds topics without the Fear of communication ban. WHAT THE ENFORCEMENT TEAM NEED TO REALISE PLAYERS ARE REPORTING OTHERS FOR THIER OWN AMUSEMENT KNOWING GRAND THEFT AUTO COMMENTS CAN BE TAKE OUT OF CONTEXT, a player got a ban for the word killing in his comment, GTA GAMES is all about killing. The enforcement team need to see where the comment was made and the context it was made in.
