enforcement action email rec'd - don't even use chat - confused and insulted by xbox

Enforcement actions on accounts are not given without evidence.

The ban and all the information you acquire will be at the link provided.

But attacking the enforcement agents (moderators) with insults, isn't going to help your case.

Especially considering that they don't use this forum to communicate with members.

When you say suspended, do you mean banned?

As Independent Advisors, we can't help you with enforcement actions. Even Xbox customer support can’t assist with suspensions or enforcement actions. They don’t have access to enforcement details.

When you get an enforcement action, you should receive an email with details about it.

Any player that meets the following criteria can submit a case review:

- Has an active enforcement action.

- The enforcement's duration is greater than 24 hours in length.

- The enforcement was issued in the last 12 months.

Note that Xbox device bans aren’t eligible for a case review.

I've had several communication bans lasting 7 days at a time. Clearly xbox don't check the messages before enforcement action is taken. It all started with some random kid sending me abusive messages, I replied as a mature adult and didn't use a single bad word or insult but less than hour later I get a comms ban. Now I don't even bother replying to unwanted messages and just report them for harassment.

Thank you for the response! I guess I am still a bit confused lol... I went to the thread you directed in your reply, but it seems that post pertains to suspensions? My child's account (my account) is not suspended. All that happened was that I received an email stating there was an enforcement action taken on behalf of Xbox, and to find more information on said enforcement, to click the link they provided in the email. I did this; it brings me to the enforcement page. There are no notifications or anything on that specific page indicating whether something happened and what it was (to cause the enforcement action).

I also checked our Xbox Family app to see if there were any notifications, and there was nothing. I also logged into the account my son uses to play Xbox, and there were no notifications about any sort of an action (or what it might be).

I guess I'm just confused about the email. It tells me there was an enforcement action done/taken on the account, but there is no other indication or evidence to help me understand what was enforced and why. It doesn't say anything about suspension, either.

Hi, all enforcement actions are issued by a human (the enforcement team) there isn’t a IA related for this kind of suspensions.

IA is only used to find and suspend people by some key words (considered as insult in general)
But each report and suspension is issued by the enforcement team
