    Enforcement Action Assistance

Where to start. Well first I get a nice 3 month com ban on my main account for telling an abusive SOB to F off. Then I get a nice 2 month com ban for my entire Xbox one. Then 3 days into my ban, I get a nice little 2 week XBL ban for "harassment and threats"
despite the clear fact that I could not communicate with any one in any shape or form over Xbox Live. Then come today after going through Xbox support because the XBLE website doesn’t list these bans at all, I’m told that there NEVER WAS a two month console
wide com ban and now my main account ban has turned into a 4 month long console wide com ban. The support tech also flat out told me that multiple reports will get an account banned despite XBLE saying the complete opposite. The LEAST you people could do is
email me and tell me or list the ban on your website, but instead I have to slog it out with Xbox support just to find out the basics.

SOMETHING at this point would be very appreciated.

    :)

If you were banned for one day or 24 hours there is nothing you can do. However if the suspension was longer then a day you can file to have your case reviewed by the enforcement team. That way they can hear your side of the story. If you are interested
in doing this Here is how to do it.

You will need to go to http://enforcement.xbox.com sign in and click the orange hammer in the top left of the site. This will take you to your enforcement history page. Find the current enforcement effecting your
account. Next to it on the right you should see a link that say submit a case review. Click on that and follow the prompts.

In case the instructions are a bit confusion, here is a link to a video showing you how to file a case review as well.

You say this however, I am aware of a case from one of my friends whereby they received a 30 day suspension, and when the submitted a case review, they were not contacted by the enforcement team for almost a week after submitting the review. What made this
worse is they submitted a second review for the suspension that they had received and they didn't actually receive any way to be able to present their ide of the story until the suspension was actually completed by which point it was completely irrelevant.
So yes although the enforcement team is meant to contact a person regarding their case review so that they can present their side of the story and give reasoning for why exactly they were suspended, more often than not there is no response from the members
of the enforcement team meaning that in a large number of cases there is no way for the player to give their side of the story and present their case to the enforcement team with the hope of being able to have the suspension removed from their account.

This is pretty much how an enforcement action works and how you can have another enforcement action placed against you when you already have one.

    1. You get reported by another player to the enforcement team letting them know that you violated the xbox code of conduct/terms of use which can be read here.

    2. That report then goes in line with the rest of the reports to microsofts Policy and enforcement team depending on how many reports are made could take a while for them to get to the report made against you.

    3. The team will then investigate the report if you violated the code of conduct then that is when they put the enforcement action against you.

So lets say a report is placed against your account today it may take the enforcement team till Monday before they get to investigate that report they will then put an enforcement action against your account for that particular report on Monday. But lets
say between now and Monday you get reported again for a different action and the enforcement team doesn't get to that report till Wednesday of next week they will then put another enforcement action against your account for that report and subsequent violation
    of the code of conduct.

So thats how it can seem like you get another enforcement action when you were suspended because it takes time for the enforcement team to investigate the reports that are made and they investigate EVERY report that is made.

Keep in mind it does not matter who starts an argument if you violate the code of conduct and the person reports you then you will have an enforcement action placed against your account. That is why we have the option to allow players to block and mute other
    players.

90 day suspensions are not put onto accounts lightly they are basically the last resort before a permanent suspension that basically means that you have done or continuously done something that your account has been suspended multiple times in the past for
and have pretty much not learned your lesson and this is pretty much the last straw before they permanently suspend your account and this length is not eligible for a case review to see if the enforcement team will lift it sooner.

The support tech was wrong in telling you that multiple reports will get you banned only if you violate the code of conduct will it get you suspended just like the enforcement teams website says just because someone reports you does not mean you will automatically
get suspended its when they investigate the report and there was a violation that the suspension is put on if their was no violation then the report goes in the trash. and even if the reporter is known for falsely reporting someone their account could get
    into trouble for that.

there is no such thing as 28hour suspensions only 24 and 48 hour then various lengths after that depending on severity and history

Generally retaliation can't be appealed because there is no justification for breaking the rules regardless of who started it

And no saying he started it is not a valid excuse nor does.it excuse your nephews actions
There was no retaliation that is what I am questioning.

NNope 24hour suspensions don't have any case review because it can take up to 48hours meaning there's is no point as they have to re-review based on your case review request and see if it was justified or not which would take longer then 24hours so there
is no point is asking for a case review

The enforcement team does not use the forums. to see about submitting a case review, you'll need to go to http://enforcement.xbox.com
