You would need to make a post in the below forum section. The PET (Enforcement Team) will respond to you there with the reasoning behind your forced gamertag change. Alternatively you can check the email address tied to your account as correspondence will
have been sent there.

Please note that threads in that specific section are reviewed before they are published so you may not see your thread appear straight away. I will point out that the PET wont enforce against people for simply playing better then others.

enforced gamertag change

my gamertag was changed last night, i thought my account had been hacked so I contacted the support they have told me it was changed as my tag was reported as offensive?!! midgetgaming101 is not offensive!! i want to change the new tag you have given me
but it says ive got to pay to do it??? im not paying for it and want it changing back to my chosen tag.

 

Sorry to say but you can clearly see why it was changed..."weiner" is another term for a certain male part. So you were given a new gamertag by the system.

Now about your Gamer-Tag I`d like to say it could have been a Forced Gamer-tag change Due to the Violation of the code of conduct. I`d like you to find out at 09 - Xbox 360 Account Suspensions & Console
Bans they deal with Inquiries about account suspensions, forced Gamertag changes, console bans, and other enforcement actions. Explain about your Gamer-Tag change and they will look into it.

When a forced Gamertag change (name change) is imposed, the system will automatically pick a new Gamertag for the user. A forced Gamertag change is imposed when a Gamertag is determined to be inappropriate by the Xbox Live Policy & Enforcement Team. Examples
of inappropriate Gamertags include names that visually resemble, sound like, represent, hint at, abbreviate, or insinuate any of the following:

• Profane words or phrases
• Topics or content of a sexual nature
• Hate speech (including but not limited to racial, ethnic, or religious slurs)
  
• Unlawful drugs or controlled substances
• Unlawful activities

 

Ok, did you know Weiner is also know as or is
referred to as a " Hot Dog ".

I think your mind is in the gutter because last I checked Abstract is defined as a form of art thus
Abstract Weiner, it is an art to make a hot dog. I had no intentions of creating a gross, sickening, unfriendly gamer-tag, I was merely thinking
outside the box.

I don't think this is offensive at all its merely your perception of words which is the problem, not my gamer-tag.

Also i was curious as to why i have to pay to change my gamer-tag even though I wasn't warned that it was going to be changed.

"NOTHING" about it.

You were warned.It was the code of conduct you agreed to when you started your account.

As Tye said,the word doesn't just mean "hot dog or sausage",it has another meaning as well & that is why it was changed.

You will have to pay to change it to a personal gamertag as that is the rules,you will not get a free name change.
