End of life for XBox One S

probably another 4 - 5 years as it depends on uptake of the series x, with the virus and everything else going on and the amount of job losses around the world I don't think they will sell many at all.

Thats hard to say when it will stop being manufactured as it often varies from company to company.

As for how long games will be supported, check out this Eurogamer article titled Don't expect
first-party Xbox Series X exclusives for a couple of years which reports that Matt Booty has stated that there will be no first-party exclusives on the Series X for two years. (First party being any game developed and published by Microsoft Games Studio).

As for third party developers and publishers game support that can’t be answered either however looking back on historical console launches, most 3rd party developers (e.g Ubisoft, EA, Activision, CD Projekt etc) have ensured there is a transition period
whereby games would be released on both platforms. This is to ensure maximum success of their game and for it to reach the most end users.

It is also worth looking out for games that have new Smart Delivery feature. For games that support the feature, you will always be playing the best version of the game without having to buy it again. So for example if you purchased the new unreleased Halo
for Xbox One then you decided to finally make the upgraded to a Series X, you can download and play the enhanced version of the game on your Series X at no extra cost.

I guess someone forgot that in the end of it,s life span, 360 games required an install......

To Choppy's response - Forza Horizon 2's end of life happened back in September. They're focused on FH4 now.

I doubt it will get repaired, because it's from 2008, and there have been 2 games after it, and soon to be a third. Plus, it's coming close to the end of the Xbox 360's life span.
