[EN/FR]Xbox controller guid button problem

hello, i have a problem with my wired controller, when i plug my controller (on pc) the leds of the guide button 1 and 4 are on and in game the left joystick scroll the menu by itself. this problem deosn't happen every time, but this problem becomes regular,
so i try to plug the usb on an other usb port, reset the calibrage, uninstal the driver, but it don't work, so if someone have a solution, could you help me to resolve this issue. thank you

bonjour, j'ai un soucis avec ma manette filaire xbox360, parfois quand je la branche (sur pc) elle bug, les leds du guide button 1 et 4 sont allumé et en jeux le joystick gauche fait défiler le menu tout seul. ce problème n'arrive pas chaque fois que je branche
ma manette mais me le fais de plus en plus souvent , j'ai donc essayé de changer de port usb, de réinitialiser les calibrages, désinstaller les drivers, mais cela n'a rien résolut si quelqu'un sait comment résoudre se problème, merci de dire comment faire.

Xbox guide/home button not working

There seems to be a problem with the guide button. It flashes 6 times then stops and then guide button doesn't work anymore. All the other buttons work but the guide doesn't. I also have a second controller but that has the same problem.

 

How to Sync a Wireless Controller

The following guide will help you connect any extra controllers purchased to your console. Please note the controller that came with your Xbox One is already synced. Conveniently there are now three different ways to sync a controller, which are:

• Using the console’s connect button
• Using Kinect
• Using a USB to micro-USB cable.

Method One: Connect Button​

Let’s start with the first and most important step, install batteries into the controller. Next, turn on the controller by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the controller.

If the controller is not synced then you will see the light on the Xbox button will pulsate, if it is already synced then it will display a solid light.

Next press the sync button on your console; it is located on the left side of the console, right next to the disc drive.

Immediately afterwards press the sync button on the controller. It is a small round button on the top of the controller, near the mini usb port.

Once the controller syncs with the console the light on the controller will flash a few times before switching to a solid state.


Method Two: Kinect ​

First lets make sure the console and controller are both powered on.

Press the sync button on the top of the controller and wait for the light on the controller to pulse. Aim the controller towards the Kinect and make sure the LEDs on the controller ARE FLASHING IN THE DIRECTION OF THE KINECT.

Once the Xbox light on the controller stops pulsating and goes solid, your controller has successfully been synced with your console.


Method Three: USB Cable​

Using a micro usb connection or the play & charge kit, connect the controller to the console. This will automatically sync the controller (note the console must be powered on first.). This will also turn your wirelesses controller into a wired controller, meaning no battery would be necessary.

 

Hey there Chtona,

It's possible the controller has a hardware issue and needs to be replaced. Can you try on an Xbox 360 console and see if that works?

hello,

I tried my controller on my Xbox 360 and the controller still don't work.

So my controller have an hardware issue ? Should buy a new or it can be fixed ?

 

It's likely the controller is having a hardware problem unfrotunately, if it didn't work on an Xbox 360 console. The way to be sure, would be to test other controllers to see if they work properly with the console. If they work, then you'll know the issue
