Emulator App

Why not make an emulator app for xbone so it can play xbox360 games,arcade games, and indie.

I think you're idea could work just fine but the emulator currently in the Xbox One is running in the background which would have to difference compared to an app. The reason why more Backward Compatible games aren't available because Developers and publishers
of these Xbox 360 games don't support the idea of bringing the game backwards compatible or aren't ready for it to be released to next gen users. I don't know the full story but i'm certain this is among one of the reasons. I really wish all games could become
native to the Xbox One but it takes time and some publishers have other ideas like remasters or definitive editions for next gen. This is only my mere opinion take it as you will. Hopefully we will see more titles coming soon.

Xbox 360 Emulator App

I want to pitch an idea about Microsoft creating an Xbox 360 emulator app for use on all Xbox One consoles, this app will be capable of recognizing every single game released on the Xbox 360 console. I don't know why Microsoft never considered doing this,
is it too expensive? Too time consuming? Do they just not care? I mean sure, you have the actual console to play 360 titles but what if you don't? Are you gonna shell over 200-300 bucks or would you rather pay for an emulator that costs 60 bucks?

 

maybe they want to sell HD Collections in the future or will offer Classics to Download via XBL? Its all about the Money you know!

They tried that for the backwards compatability on the 360 so you could play original Xbox games, huge amounts of work for very little reward. Plus it's not just one app, they had to create multiple emulators for different games.

Basically if you want to play 360 games keep your 360.

 

There are rumours that the PS4 are going to be doing this for PS1 and PS2 games link. I have my 360 so it does not bother me I will
use that for 360 games.

 

As far as I know MS has experimented with this. The problem is that the majority of people don't have a high enough bandwidth or fast enough speed to benefit from such a service. Not a tekkie but I'm hoping that Sony can pull this off, as I'm sure MS is
so they can see how it was achieved. If not it could get ugly...

 

Why don't they just build in a microwave so that it can cook my dinner to? I hate having to own more than one electronic device in my house and having my xbox one able to make my dinner and vacuum the floors would be great. Seriously people, stop bringing
this up. If you want to play 360 games, GET A 360! Stop asking the next gen device to accommodate you because you are too cheap to own both devices.

 

Throw in a drink dispenser with that microwave that can cook dinners and I am sold. Why are they not funding this?

 

Backwards Compatibiliy would be nice. Or Cross-buy. I would get Max Curse of the Brotherhood for the 360 if I knew I could play it when I got my Xbox One. As it is, I'm content to wait. Cross-buy would see me invest more time and money into my 360.

 

U can always set it atop a keg and call it the xbox and beer...or a bottle of liquor and it can be the xbox rum...fun for all.

That whould be nice! But i will spend mor time and money on my 360 anyway.^^ Got so many unfinished 360 games here.
