    Email saying I was sent a gift card


    I received an email from microsoft saying " Say hello to your reward: $1.25 Xbox Gift Card" immediately followed by another saying I has a $5 xbox gift card. Are these really or a scam? Can't find any place the codes work.

    I don't think these are real emails. You receive the 25-digit code to activate in your account when you buy the gift card from the Microsoft Store and it doesn't expire either.

    That sounds like the emails you receive when you redeem Microsoft Rewards points for gift cards. If that is the case, the funds would have automatically been deposited in your account. You can check at http://account.microsoft.com

    Have you received a 25-digit code to use on your account? Could you share an image of the email you received? Just don't include any personal information like your email, for example.

    Check the email address of the sender....if it's not a Microsoft address, then it's not genuine
