    I have an email on 4th December confirming Live extended until 2015 and billing information on xbox one confirms next payment not due until then. I have tried to go online today and I am unable to do so. I only have one gamertag and this was transferred
    from xbox 360 to xbox one in September. N.B I have checked my credit card that Microsoft holds and it runs until 2016. Any ideas?

    I recently canceled the auto-renewal of my Gold subscription before it's next renewal billing date (2/11) and let it run out. However, once I did renew (2/11) it I find I have a double charge ( two 9.99 charges to Live) to my card used. Now, I know one of
    these is the 1-month renewal but the other one is dated as charged 3 days before that on February 8th. Typically, I get email alerts for any charges and indeed have them for one the charges which is the manual renewal on February 11th. The only other email
    I have gotten that might explain both charges is one saying my credit card information had expired and the service was unable to charge it for one month. That email was sent on February 6th which does not explain much to me since that is before the expiration
    date and the date which I renewed it. Any explanation or information on who to ask about having two charges?

    Billing error

    Hi, I've received three emails (24/06, 28/06 & 01/07) telling me xbox live is unable to charge my credit card for a gold subscription and I need to update my payment information to avoid interruptions or reactivate my account. I also have an email from 14/06
    that explains renewal of my gold subscription was successfully renewed and expires 14/06/2015. I've checked my billing history and it shows a payment made for the same period. Can you please stop these emails saying I need to update my payment information?

    It's called an auto renewal, when you purchased a gold membership for your account using your credit card. Microsoft will automatically charge you to renew your gold membership once it has expired monthly.

    Caution: Possibly scam email

    No, actually they do send emails stating that the credit card is about to expire, or has expired, and that if you don't update the credit card, it could potentially cause interruptions in service. These emails will ask that you go to a Microsoft billing
    website to update your credit card details, but they'll never ask you to respond to the email. The best thing you can do in this situation is to close the email, don't click any links from it. Just go to xbox.com/account, and click on Manage Payment Options.
    You can update your credit card info if it needs it.

    Purchased 3 months of Live Gold last night, but my account is still set to "free member"

    I'm having the same issue, paid for another year of gold last night at about 10:30pm EST, received an email telling me my credit card was charged, and yet xbox live is still telling me I'm a "free member" instead of gold.
