You can use any email account that you like but be sure it is a valid account and one that you can log into. Personally, I used my Microsoft account email address and I basically use it only for gaming.

You can create a gamertag/Microsoft account using any active email address. It does not have to be a MS branded email address like Hotmail or outlook but it can be.

If you haven't already, you can use your existing Microsoft account (like the one you're using to post here) and log into that account on your console and it will create an Xbox account on your Microsoft account and it will ask you to make a gamertag if
you don't have one already.

You can use any valid email address.
