Email not working for sign in

signing in with my email and password never works

Why it doesn't work as well as in Steam?

It doesn't have to be a Microsoft email. When I first signed up with the service mine was a Comcast email. It worked just fine.

Go to live.com. Sign in using your email and password. On you profile page, there is a link to verify your email address. Click the link and a new email will be sent. The new email link worked for me.
