Email for parent account not avaliable

My dad's email for his Microsoft account is no longer valid, and he forgot his password so he cant reset it. There is no other way to sign into the Xbox through my account because his is listed as my only parent. Is there a way for him to cancel his account
so that i can log in, or a way for him to change his email without logging in if he doesn't know his password?

I am having trouble resetting the password for the parent email, the links goes to a password reset, but when I place the email for the parent account, it shows it is not a parent email, even though that is the correct email.

Sorry but that content can not be transfered between accounts. Its just not possible!

Also you can not delete a parent account. You can shut down the email address, but that does not delete the account. In most cases the parent account is just an email address a password used by parents to give permission to their child to access Xbox Live.

If you know the email address for the parental permissions follow Vibroplex's instructions, they are the steps to recover a parental email/account.

 

What he'll have to do is contact phone support at 1-800-4MY-XBOX and provide some information that verifies him as the owner of that account. Then they can assist him with access it / provide him with the e-mail..

 

Yes there is a way to delete his account. follow these steps to do so:

1. go to settings

2. select system

3. select storage

4. select hard drive

5. select gamer profiles

6. select your dad's gamer-tag

7. select delete

8. select "delete profile and contents"

This will delete all content of the profile and remove the profile from the xbox. If you would like to get the account back, do as what HyrulesBalverine suggested.
