email connected to wrong gamertag

So I recently updated my xbox and when I went to loginto my account the wrong email was connected to the correct gamertag. So I went and deleted the gamertag and went to sign in to it again. It then created a new gamertag with the same email. My old account
is still there but I am unsure how to login to it because it just logs into the wrong account. what else can I do?

Windows Live ID Issue!

To remove that gamertag that is connected to your 'main' email (Microsoft Account), just change the connected gamertag connected to a new Microsoft account.

So first free up your 'correct' email address by moving the connected gamertag to a new Microsoft Account

and after that you should be able to change the 'email' (Microsoft Account) for your main gamertag to your 'correct' email address (Microsoft Account)

Account not valid

With the chance of being in the wrong thread or doing something wrong.

When I try to log on my xbox account on my xbox there is a message that my account is not valid.

I can't recover the gamertag because I don't remember which email I used, therefor I can't use any of the "recover-options" of accounts.

My gamertag is "Pooths".

I would like to see what email that gamertag is connected too now (if it was possibly hacked and switched email) or a way to reset my email to that gamertag.

I hope this is possible!

My 360 has the right gamertag but the wrong email. Any way to change it? (The email)

First, make sure which email is connected to your Gamertag properly. On your 360 console, sign into the proper gamertag and then go to "Settings" on the far right, then go to "Account" in the lower left, and there go to "Your Information" and "Security Info".

Double check the E-Mail there. Is that the correct email?

Use that email to sign in on Xbox.com. Does Xbox.com show you the proper associated Gamertag with it? Or is it a wrong Gamertag?

If it is the wrong Gamertag and you are 100% sure you used the SAME email as shown on the console, you will need to
contact the official phone support to get that resolved.

Go on your Xbox console, to Settings --> Account --> Account Security. On the right side of the screen, it will say "Current Microsoft Account". That's the email you log in with on xbox.com. Check it carefully for typos.
