    I've had a live account for years now but when I set it up I used my gmail email. I also have an local free profile for my wife that I set it up using my Live.com email account. My wife's account doesn't have a Live gold pass so it's just a free local account. Recently I signed up for a xbox Live Music pass about a month ago and I've been enjoying it so far (gmail account)....so to the Issue.
    I just got a new Windows phone. All sync'd up and working with my live email account. My music pass though is not showing up for my Live account so I can't sync up my playlist and such. There is also no option to "log in" to your music pass as it uses the account the phone is already setup with which is my Live account.

    So how do I switch my music pass to be associated to my Live account? I've been trying for hours to just delete my Wife's free profile account so I can remove my Live email association but I can't figure out how. I do know that I'll have to change my XboxLive account name which is cool with me. But when I try to switch my account over it says My email that I want to use is already in used by a Xbox profile (Yeah, my wifes').

    Yet another parental control question.

    I just updated to the new dashboard, and in order for me to log in to my Xbox live account it says I need to input my parent's email and password in order to accept the terms of service. This annoys me, since 1) I'm 22 and promoted my live account 4 years
    ago and 2) the email address associated with the parental controls has been deleted. Support is useless, I can't get a hold of anyone. Any suggestions?

    Did you change the email on the account? If so you would need to sign in with the email that you changed it to.

    If not and you dont know the email that is now associated with your account you would need to contact xbox support and file an unauthorized access escalation you can contact xbox support by going to support.xbox.com/contact-us

    Did you change the email on the account? If so you would need to sign in with the email that you changed it to.

    My Microsoft account has vanished!

    No, again, the email associated with my xbox live account has been removed from the MS system for some reason. I cant use it to log in or recover my XBL account, using the recovery page.

    Error 80049C3A - Unable to log in to Xbox Live

    The email account I've deleted isn't the account used for my live address (which is a hotmail one).

    The deleted email account was an old address I had used for the security proofs (the only security proof that was setup and was jm****@bt****.com).

    Effectively I can't add any new proofs for 30days until they all reset.

    I can't stop the reset of the proofs because it wants to send a verification to the non-existent email address.

    I can't access the old security proof email address (the account has been deleted).

    I can't log in to xbox live due to be unable to add new proofs.

    P.S. Not sure if it matters but my gamertag is "jflatto" and the email associated with this is my university email address (i.e., edu) and not a live account. This is the same email that I can use to successfully log into xbox live using my PC. I just
    can't figure out how to translate this into logging in using my xbox.

    Thanks Miss Kleo. I tried to rename the account, but as Vibroplex has mentioned, the 'rename account' feature of live accounts is currently broken. I get the message "your account email can't be changed."Once it's back up, I will try again.

    I have somewhat of a related question, however. If my Xbox LIVE account (this one) is associated with the hotmail email (along with all MS Points, etc.), why can't I delete my yahoo associated live account? It says I have to rid of all Microsoft points and
    XBL ties before continuing. Is this the placeholder live profile again?
