Email and Live account not connecting

So i had to reset my xbox because i was trying to fix something so my account info is wiped from it. When I sign in using the email associated with the account, it signs me in to some offline account with a different username. My Live account isnt the Gamertag
logged in and I don’t know how to log back in to that gamertag.

I’ve tried all the information microsoft’s we site has to offer now, and i submitted an account recovery form, but their lines are closed and i cannot talk to anybody and fear it will be weeks before i can access it again.

somebody please tell me they can help

You can only have 1 account linked to an email address at a time. Each account would need it's own email in order to sign into Live. So if the second account had never connected to Live, it either didn't have an email address connected to it, or it had a
different email.

On the 360, each account has to have it's own gold subscription in order to play online.

Hi there what I would do is remove the unknown account and try adding yours. If you do not know your info you will need to try doing an account recovery again. If you dont get anywhere with that the only thing I can suggest is contact microsoft support
and see if you can request a call back or something. Sorry I couldnt be much more help and I hope you are safe and well.

for an email account to be fully connected to your xbox live account, it has to be a windows live email, e.g. @live.co.uk or @hotmail.co.uk, without a windows live account you may not be able to gain full access to your account because some emails will not
send and you may have other issues aswell

You don't need to pay to have a LIVE account. Here's the breakdown:

Local Account - created on the console, never connects to LIVE, if deleted it is gone forever, I don't believe this requires an email

Free LIVE Account - also called "silver" accounts, no fee required, connected to LIVE servers, can be recovered later, has a unique WLID (email) attached

Gold LIVE Account - paid for, allows for online and LIVE features, connected to LIVE servers, can be recovered later, has a unique WLID (email) attached

However, after reading your post again, you say that your sons' accounts are on your Friends List? This would suggest they are LIVE accounts, and thus should have their own unique email addresses tied to them.

I'd like you to look at the son's account that is still on the console for a minute. Log into this account, go to Account Management, and look under WLID. Check out the email address that is there. This is this accounts unique WLID. I assume it is different
from your email address? Maybe this will help you in remember the other son's WLID as well?

I've checked the email connected to my live account and contact/preferences and is states that's the correct email if been checking. Still nothing :/
