    Email already in use.


    I am running windows 10 , I opened an xbox 360 account on my PC , I bought an xbox 360 ,when I wanted to set up an account on it ,it told me my email address was already being used on another device , how do I cancel my xbox account on my windows 10 PC.

    Update email adress for my gamertag

    You will not be able to use an email that is already a Microsoft Account.

    Cannot change the email address associated with my Xbox Live Account

    t should let you add an alias if your email was already verified, if not, it will ask you to verify the email address that's currently listed first.

    Once you add your alias, if its a 3rd party email (gmail, yahoo, etc) then click verify.

    When I add the alias email I want to, it says that the alias email is already in use. My alias email is gmail and is already a live account (I use it for my Windows Phone and for OneDrive). I'm stucked, once again Email already in use. :(

    Email already in use.

    You should not have to cancel. Your account email is good for both systems. I use the same email for Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows 10 without any problems.

    Changing WLID to already used email.

    Create a dummy email address and change the WLID on the tag you accidentally created. Then add your WLID to the tag you want it attached to.

    I understand that you're having issues trying to sign into your Xbox (and Xbox profile) with your Microsoft account.

    First, I would suggest attempting to sign into your
    Microsoft Account     on the actual Microsoft website with the email that

    is associated with the Gamertag that you would play with. This will determine whether or not the issue is actually with your

    logins since it's been a while since you've used it. Maybe your password needs to be reset or some security options need to be updated.
